TOPIC: Keith's silver tongue

I've nothing against curle, in fact I've been a fan since he walked through the door. It seems he has persuaded another player to join today whom had other offers from other clubs and along with othe lads that have been brought in I don't know how he does it. A few of these players have good pedigree and a lot of promise.
With the shackles of constraint that must be round his neck under the current regime how does he manage to talk these players into signing and have them believe that the club has ambition under these liars who only want what they can get out of the club?

Would hardly call a competitive playing budget to be 'shackles of constraint'? Indeed Curle himself has commented that he's got funds available several times during his tenure.

We've been pretty good in terms of backing managers with wages for players over the last few years, it's just some of the signings haven't worked!

Slag the BoD for plenty, but this is one area where they've always done pretty well IMO...

I dont think he ever gets the credit for his part in turning this club around from where we were.

What I like is the fact that he never used excuses. Location, wages, league... all things our previous managers moaned about.
Players want to come here now and he must be selling the club well with his ambition, professionalism and drive. Something that has been missing for years. He deserves huge credit.
That said, his interviews can be hard work to listen too. For a man who doesn't lack confidence he talks like he is very nervous at times. Unfair to judge him on that side though, I know.
I hope the club strive to match this outlook and we do all get on the bus and go on this journey.
