Just wondering who is going, not seen anything posted yet....me & 3 mates are on the train (long journey if not going via Lancaster) but cheaper.

Not going, being at work all day, shame as i enjoy the journey down the coastal line...until Barra of course

First time I've been to Barrow. Do we get our own away section or is it like Workington where everyone can go anywhere?

Don't knock Barrow. It's a town with a great future behind it.

I'm driving down or possibly cadging a lift. The road is a lot better than it used to be but it still seems to take far longer than getting to anywhere in Cumbria should.

Probably driving down from Cockermouth as up visiting for the weekend. Might have space in the car too if anyone out West wants a lift.

3 f***ing hours to get back!

First half completely dominated aerially. They launch everything at their tall players (and they have a few!) and we simply aren't coping.

We are being bullied, which isn't a good sign for a side looking to do well in league 2.

Result aside looks like we have some good signings all comfortable on the ball #8 we signed from Oldham is above the level in this division. .. Penn Devitt and Lambe all looked useful too... they were the midfield for the first 60 mins... wasn't too impressed with Shaun Miller up front.... back 5 were from last season... plus Wyke... there was a lot of good movement and passing into space... ht brough on trial gk and another trialist replaced Miller... the latter was awful... joyce kennedy mckee and adams came on after 60 mins adams also class above this league... and McKee looked good too... both look to attack... we need a good striker with pace.... and a rb... Miller came on after 75 mins or so but replaced Raynes... I dont think Atkinson is the kind of rb we need playing this type of football a fb good at going forward had great passes out to him today... queue McQueen...

Trialist gk nearly blunder ed one goal away but better kicker than Gillespie apart from one Hansford like effort but think that was because he was trying to find Brough... he roll and threw the ball out a lot... but nothing really to test him... who was he?

Their #5 Livesey or summat had a good game cut out a lot of crosses good distribution. .. better than the hoofs of Raynes Ellis and Grainger...

Was Atkinson playing at RB?

Simply not good enough there. Hope KC isn't considering starting the season with Atkinson as the only alternative to Miller at RB, and Grainger and Brough as LB - otherwise the fullback positions may well prove to be our undoing.

Atkinson is a strange one. He's clearly not a full back, he's too slow and gets skinned 1v1 too easily. But the way Barrow played, if we'd put him at centre back instead of Raynes or Ellis, we'd have probably lost by more.

I think he's too slow to play full back, but he's too weak physically and in height to play centre back, certainly in a 2 anyway.
