Seems to have disappeared?!

Rumoured to have gone to a London club?

He's not been seen for nearly 2 weeks!

They probably tried to make his position part time so hes away...nowt would surprise me

I get the impression, KC wants a 'stronger' no.2. Colin West kept a very low profile and probably wasn't the robust character that I reckon KC wants and needs as his assistant.

I took my 8yo boy down to watch training on Wed morning and he was there training the lads.

heard tonight that he just totally gone of the radar not answering his phone or text or even e-mails nobody knows why

Curle just said he`s got days off but he didn`t sound convincing to me and Paul Newton tried to press him but he wasn`t having any of it but said no conspiracy theories.

Curles said he's got a couple days off

@joncolman: Curle also insists no "conspiracy" over West's absence. Claims he has given No2 some time off as he wants to lead training/ prep himself. KC says West should be back in time for the first game of the season at Mansfield, but probably not before #cufc

So the assistant coach ain't around til start of season. He'll know the new players well to be able to coach them effectively then won't he..

Like you just give your assistant pre-season off...

Agree with he above. I think it's a Colin West thing rather than a Curle thing.

Needs space to sort something out. Dykes seems a good head around the place too mind so wouldn't be surprised if he becomes more hands on anyway

If it is personal issues, a simple "Colin has a private matter to deal with, he'll be back ASAP" statement would suffice. But the mystery and Curle almost laughing when asked adds fuel to the fire!

We maybe need to be careful over Colin West on here as if it is something personal then he needs support not accusations and conspiracy.

If on the other hand he has left then why can't they just tell us?

If it's something personal then as CCU said why not just say that then there would be no accusations or conspiracy instead of yet another dubious reason coming out of the club.

Or it could be that its sod all to do with any of us and maybe West/Curle have good reason to keep it quiet.
