Whho would you choose now vs mansfield i have two different options

Just my thoughts, dont trust raynes completely yet would like to see cmw and troy start, would like to see some pace maybe down the wings with either kearns or asaomah or thompson or balanta which all seem quite pavy and kearns has a bit of flair well did in the warm ups....
Ibehre would definitely start for me, played strong and won everything last night, wyke and rigg still battling for the other st position with ibehre just behind feeding them in. Asamoah could also play in the cf role. Havent seen much of osei but assume hes that sort of player as well. Not convinced by hammell either, he looked okay had a bit of pace but has a lot of competition for a place in the team. Sweeney was ok but can still do a job and joyce looked decent put a shift in and hilds alright but doesnt have that special thing. In my opinion. Thoughts?

If he plays a 5 man defence, then the midfield will be Joyce, Hery and Kennedy, and Ibehre must start up front with Wyke.

I imagine last nights team won't be to far off from what we will see at Mansfield.

Imo I'd like to see Troy in for Raynes. Not the biggest fan of Raynes wasn't too sure when he signed and when Troy is fit he is arguably one of our best players.

All our play seemed to go through Luke Joyce last night, yet you havent got him in either of your sides. think you've maybe got the best 11 individuals there but as a team you havent

What I think Curle will pick.

Has anybody been following the goings on at Mansfield? What standard of opposition can we expect to face? Which end of the table are they expected to be at?
I hope we go to win and not sit back and invite them on.
A five man defence isn't a bad idea so long as the full backs are capable and quick enough to push on and support the attack when we break.

Away game, experience to see us through a tricky fixture. The 2 FB's can get up and down (Knowing the midfield have the nous to drop in and cover if needed), both have long throws we should utilise more, especially with Ibehre an obvious target. Hery to provide the link between midfield and up front...

Having not seen Osei play i cant really make a judgement, but seeing the way Ibehre plays last night we need a forward who's going to play onm the last man and get in the box when Brough and Miller get the ball. maybe go for Rigg, he seems to have a knack of getting in the right positions in the box.

Did anyone heat on the radio last night lummy got a text off adam Murray asking what formation we where playing and lummy told him 442 thought it was quite funny lol

Gonna be a few disappointed players when the team sheet goes up every week this season .....just too many in the squad to keep happy.....which is why we need a RESERVE TEAM...too late now tho

There's a few tough decisions in there - I would quite like Raynes to play alongside TAH as I think he'll raise his game and learn more that way, but I can't see KC dropping Grainger. I could see KC dropping TAH and playing Raynes instead, that's a sure sign that TAH days are numbered. Hopefully that wont happen.

I'd also like to see Rigg starting in a position just behind that striker or even as a forward midfield role supporting two strikers as he has that knack of being in the right place at the right time, best served when running from deep rather than him being up front. That may happen if we have to go 442 at any point in the match, maybe?

I would certainly go with a slightly differing line up against Chesterfield in the league cup giving a few others other an opportunity for pitch time and show what they've got.

You can pick whoever you like, we all know it comes down to the first eleven names that come out of that tombola.

I think we have a better team than last year. My concern based on last year is that Raynes and Grainger are not up to standard and Curle will continue to play them despite that being obvious to everyone.

Miller Troy, CMW Brough (LB) (or with McQueen maybe to come in at LB)
McQueen (RM) Kennedy and Joyce in CM and Kearns on the left
Ib and Wyke up front
I think for an away game we have enough defensive strength not to concede. Kearns is the wild card and maybe one of the other new boy would be a better option.
I think Curle will go with Miller, Atkinson, Raynes and Grainger across the back. Will be interesting to see which wide players he goes with.

I'd start with 11 randomly selected squad members based on who has the best footwear upon arriving at the ground on match day.

Seems to be about as random as some suggestions we'll see this season on the board...

I had the midfield 3 of Joyce Kennedy and Hery nailed on, but I think Angelo Balanta could be giving Curle something to think about for that attacking midfield role.

I think Curle has to accommodate Hery and Balanta in midfield. I think he will start with his back five of today, up front he will go with Ibhere and Rigg. That leaves a few places up for grabs after Tuesday vs QOS..

I think Joyce and Kennedy absolutely must start if they're fit, they look like they'll be our key players next season and should both play alongside either Hery or Balanta. In my opinion, Meppen Walter should start ahead of Grainger too, as he looked streets ahead of Grainger when he came on today.

Grainger certainly didn't play badly but he didn't play well. CMW defended well, passed out of defence and crossed well. The best players must play and for me that means Troy should be playing ahead of any of the thee CB's he played today although given any injuries that trio look like the ones who he favours. We're basically starting with a weakened team from the off if so.

On paper looks good but id like troy in the centre of defence but seen as cmw is left footed-im putting him in the middle but i think he would suit left centre back. With:
Hanford, atkinson, miller, hery, thompson, asamoah, rigg.
Which gives chance to move to a 4-4-2 with the wingers available if needed and asamoah is a super sub-debatable that rigg is also and makes an impact but i think wyke is more of a starter. Also right sided defensive subs seen as mostly left on the field.
Which leaves raynes, kearns, osei, dicker, hammell, sweeney
Dont know about raynes he was good on saturday made good blocks and won most in the air but hes quite slow and something about him on the ball doesnt convince me...and i prefer troy, cmw, (and well grainger is always gonna play). Kearns looks really out of favour but he looks skillful, and dicker looks good but he would never be chosen ahead of joyce and kennedy and hery. Osei dunno about him need to see a bit more but he seems like an asamoah as well, and hammell isnt good enough yet. Sweeney can do a job but others are better
But i wouldnt mind any player up there playing i think all are up to standard maybe not hammell whose a bit young yet and dunno about thompson starting yet but the rest can all do a job so im happy with the squad currently but if kearns leaves we should get a winger just in case. I would still like to play dicker but cant really replace joyce right now.
