TOPIC: Best individual performances in recent seasons?

Two years since the Blackburn game today. It got me thinking about the best individual performances in recent seasons.

Obviously from that game Mark Beck and David Amoo were brilliant.

Tom Lawrence V Tranmere
Zoko V Sheff Utd
Wyke V Tranmere (A)
Meppen-Walter V Derby

Any others?

Stephen O'Halloran's debut away at Orient. One of the best defensive performances I've seen for CUFC.

Saw him a week or so later at Aldershot and he was absolute pony.

What the hell happened with him I doubt we'll ever know.

Meppen Walter v Brentford in the Cup. His first game and he was brilliant.

Malcolm Poskett at Derby (4 goals).

O'Halloran's at Salford City now.

Ben Marshall v Southampton at BP, twisted their left back inside out to the point they subbed him for another defender whilst 3-1 down!

There are a few that spring to mind. That Tom Lawrence performance v Tranmere is the first is thought of. Zoko v Sheff United as mentioned but also against Huddersfield at home, he absolutely tore their right back a new one all afternoon. Gary Madine's hattrick at Hartlepool as well

Zoko ripped Sheffield United apart that day,
Ben Marshall away at Charlton as well.

Zoko away at Preston too when we had to settle for the 3.3 draw. He was fabulous that day.

Gillespie at Burton last season... he was absolutely amazing that day! It was a siege from the moment we scored early on! Best GK performance since Westwood against Leeds!

Westwood away at Grimsby in the cup replay. Lost 1-0. Would've been 10 had it not been for him.

Dempsey away at Mansfield last season, particularly 2nd half. We thought we'd found the Cumbrian Messi....and to be fair Beck was a close second.

As an outfield player nomination Bridges was particularly special in a number of games but I thought Darlington away was the best I saw. Clearly a player playing in the wrong division!

Mike Edwards versus notts county or for them it was really hard to tell

Zoko vs Huddersfield when Lee Miller scored the last minute winner, he tore their full back apart who incidentally was Jack Hunt now of Palace, albeit on loan at Sheff Wed

Liam Noble away at Doncaster when we won 2-0, both goals from him. Think they were league leaders at the time, and we still weren't safe from relegation.

Good shout on Gillespie at Burton. I'll go back a bit further and say Chris Billy at Tranmere one time, he was an absolute animal that night.

Ian Harte v Brighton, down there, just a level above anything you would expect in League 1.

Recently both Mark Gillespie and Derek Asamoah v Burton last season had stand out performances.

Swindon was a better performance just not against Leeds or on Sky..

i give you dean Walling vs Watford in 1990s when they had Jason Lee up front and went up as lg 1 champions. They won 2-0 in the end but Deano dominated the box cross after cross cleared. alas we eventually lost.

I've seen quite few goal keeping ones usually cos we were pants

Lee Miller tipping up at Falkirk reminded me of a night match at MK. He was absolutely unplayable that night, probably the best game I seen him have in a blues shirt. We won 2-1 thanks to 2 late goals, but Miller was class. Young Jordan Cook scored the winning penalty after Miller missed an earlier one.
