TOPIC: Ticket Question / Flexi Card Scheme

I haven't been living out of the country but must have just missed this one....as I live away I get to see 5 or 6 games a season and normally decide on the day to drive up. Can I not just rock up on the day and pay at the booth anymore?

Yes you can. Its just £3 dearer than buying in advance and there may be a big queue.

You can't just pay at the turnstile and get in, as cash gates are no longer available; however you can queue for a ticket at the ticket office(s) and then use the purchased ticket to gain entry.

You might find a flexi-ticket useful. Think it's 7 games, and you can pick and choose which games you want to attend, even deciding on the day. Quite a saving compared with paying on the day.

Check official website first but I pay on the day sometimes.The reason I check is the first time I went to watch a game it was tickets only.I got to buy a programme then had a nice drive down the west coast listening to us getting thumped on the radio.

You can pay on the day, but it costs you more for the same ticket than if you bought it the day before.

The club have installed a new ticket system over the close season and there seems to be a few teething problems making getting a ticket a very slow process. I'm sure these issues will be ironed out over the next few matches. The problems were obvious at last nights game and they upsetting for the people selling the tickets as well as fans,

If you are coming to the next couple of matches and know in advance I would go for the print at home option if you can. If you are going to pay cash on the day ,go for your ticket and buy it as soon as you arrive and allow a bit of extra time, that's my plan anyway

It can be dressed up as all you like but the bottom line is we have a ground that holds 18k ...and still folk in a crowd under 3 k cannot have simplified access before kick off.... just poor and shanful

This flexicard thingy, do you still need to queue on a matchday for your ticket or do they just scan your card at the turnstile and after the 7th game it expires?

Also, am I right in thinking that if you want to purchase a flexicard for the paddock the first 7 games will cost £104 and the next 7 games £49?

You should be able to wander down 15 minutes before kick off and get in ok for a ground our size and the crowds we get. I keep banging on about it but the most important thing is to get income rather than peoples postcodes so an alternative quick turnstile is a must for those that want in the ground as quick as possible.

If you usually buy your tickets before the day of the game you are saving a total of £8 buying a flexicard or £1.15 a game. Not a massive saving for the initial outlay in my book

You have to get floating fans interested in the first place and the easiest way to do this is to string a few results together.Where I work there are 7000 people and the more the local team won the more jumped on the bandwagon.Most support bigger teams or are armchair fans, but wins and positive talk get them interested.People are like sheep and follow the crowd the local team are winning all the talk is positive so there in.When the results go bad then off they go but if all they hear is toxic about the club they would never go in the first place.

Ticket Office have answered a few queries from above.

Q. If you buy a flexi-card, do you receive an actual card (similar to Season Ticket) that you just scan at the turnstile, and after the 7th game it expires?
Or, do you have to queue up each game that you choose to go to, and receive a ticket from the ticket office?
Are you able to sign up to the flexi-card scheme, and then book your seat online?

A. Yes you receive a card (similar to a season access card). You pay £55.00 and that entitles you to 7 games at a cheaper rate (£7.00 for standing and £10.00 for seating). You can purchase any games you want but you do have to purchase them either over phone or at our main ticket office as you have to get a ticket to get you through the turnstile. After the 7 games you can purchase a new one if you wish. Sorry but you can’t do it online.
