Northampton Town is a good club for an outsider to buy. Nice stadium with easy access from North West London in a relatively prosperous part of the country. In contrast we offer a clapped out stadium as far from London as you can get with a more rural catchment area.

I still think for any outside investor to be interested in us there would have to be another angle for him to justify it.

I like Sixfields. Easy to get to, good parking, McDonalds close by. Architecturally it may not be the best but I've watched Carlisle in a lot worse.

The difference from our situation is it is public knowledge that Northampton are talking to a London-based Indian family who are interested in the property development angle. Because of its good location there have been plans for a hotel etc at Sixfields. The similarity is they have asked for a confidentiality agreement while they do their due diligence. They will have to talk to the council and Department for Communities and Local Government to see how realistic the chances are of getting planning permission given like in our case further out of town development will hurt the town/city centre.
