Football terms, probably nothing in it, but a 9m move would suggest his wage will increase to a very decent amount, I dare say he hasn't earned a vast amount in his time in football and this move will feather his retirement nest hugely.

Signing on fee are usually a percentage of the fee, 10% will give him 900k up front and what wage will a 9m footballer be on 20-50k a week ? More ?

For £9M I think I would want a lot more. A guaranteed 25 goals a season.
Gray got 16 in 45 games, so think he is far from top notch.
Cracking pace but last year was his first in the championship. Sure he was playing non league a couple of seasons ago.
