TheCumbrians @innthecity Not Grainger at fault for that goal. No stand out performer first half. Massive improvements needed all round.

Lot's of good things in there and at least they are saying the right things about fan engagement. The proof is in the pudding though... will they be allowed to carry out their plans by the real decision makers? ... that is the burning question.

CUOSC - Carlisle United Official Supporters Club (what was the United Trust)

CUSG - Carlisle United Supporters' Group which consists of:
CUOSC
London Branch
CUSAT
Route 66
Norwegian Branch
TheCumbrians.Net
etc (in case I've missed others!)

Edit: If you remember last season we had the Floodlight raffle. That was a joint effort between all the various travel groups/SC branches/Trust,/messageboard, therefore the CUSG name was used.

being the key phrase......STILL no actions so some very glib 10 word answers that have no depth and mean and say nothing...Andy H is getting better and better at this.

SK says that they have a great social media presence - and yet they refuse to allow AH to defend himself and the club (not to mention explain things) on this board {and the other one presumably??]

SK: I think one of the priorities is to improve the PR and communications aspects of the club. We’re looking to develop some ways of communicating with fans on a regular basis, and some different ways for fans to get involved with the club.

Good luck with that, an activity that Jesus rejected in favour of the far easier walking on water. When you have the actual people who call the shots being in error where reality is concerned (as we prob can't call them liars) it is not possible. I made several suggestions in an earlier post as to some concrete ways the club could do this - nothing has happened...

Cliff notes: Had we not lost 4-1 on Tuesday this crock of sh*t would not be out there - AH is once again taking one for the team in trying to deflect attention away from the BoD. The Mandleson of Carlisle....what a shame

As they say "talks cheap"

Where was the FLO at Plymouth, all the fuss in the media about the journey but no sign of anyone fulfilling that role. Who found out about disabled facilities, where to drink etc, not the FLO. Fortunately when you travel down on the bus some one has been in touch with the away club and gathered such information but for others there is no focal point at away games, and no one giving out info.

I know it's an old hobby horse of mine, but it really makes me sad, that as fans were looked after by SKybet, admired by the nationals, yet totally ignored by the clubs FLO.

It was always wrong to create the impression that the club would get its feet dirty by being involved on a semi-personal level on forums, Facebook and the like.

Andy should never have joined the Forum in an official capacity. It gives the wrong impression. You can't have individuals singled out like that, being asked to criticise their employers and having demands made of them that they are never going to be able to fulfil.

You don't get 'Chris from Pepsi' doing it, so neither should CUFC. Yes, have a corporate presence and be able to deal with comments, complaints but don't allow it to get personal. Some staff can be the public face of the media strategy but not to the extent that you expose them to dogs' abuse. That's failing in your responsibility as an employer.

What challenges do you face, particularly in the short term?

John Nixon

I agree, however I hope CUOSC has remained independent from the Club, can someone confirm/deny this has happened...

What does the reorganisation the club is currently going through at all levels actually mean in terms of the Holding Company and CUFC 1921 Ltd?

Not much, it just puts us in the firing line instead of Nixon & Jenkins.

How does that affect the decision making processes, particularly in terms of day to day business?

It doesn't

What are your specific roles?

Scapegoat #1 and Scapegoat #2

What areas of operation have you decided to concentrate on first, both for improvement and changes to the way things are done?

Still waiting for John to tell us

How responsive have current and potentially new sponsors / partners been to this restructure?

Lapping and those who were backing him aren't too chuffed

What challenges do you face, particularly in the short term?

Challenging questions about imaginary people

How important is fan engagement and improved communication to what you want to achieve?

lol

The recognition of The United Trust was a huge step for the club to take - what was the driving force behind that?

Well it was part of Lappi- What? Oh, sorry John. It was John's idea.

Off the pitch, where do you want the club to be this time next year, and five years further on from now?

Not bothered we won't be here

Well from reading that it is pretty obvious that they have nothing to do with player contracts or transfers.
That will still be done by Nixon.

Is it that hard to find this info out? A quick Google gets you Ground Guides etc...

SkyBet only interested in the publicity!

I agree the Club have handled the FLO role wrongly though!

"Is it that hard to find this info out? A quick Google gets you Ground Guides etc..."

Do you find ground guides are always up to date, I know I've been caught out with it in the past? Far better to actually get in touch with the club and ask and it also gives the away club a little advance warning of what the away fans may want and, in my eyes, the effort made whould at least give the impression that the FLO wanted to help the fans.

"SkyBet only interested in the publicity!"

Absolutely, but surely the club should also have been looking at this as a chance for good publicity. Have the FLO traveling down, at the game, giving quotes to the media, looking as though the club cared about the fans. The only indication of that was when the players came to thank the fans at the end. I really feel the club missed a trick, they could have looked like the family club they wish to portray, they didn't.
