What would anyone especially the guy who runs this site be troublemaking for?. I thought it was slightly higher than we were getting last season but not almost 2k more. Admittedly i cant see if the east stand has 1500 more in than usual but thats doubtful.

Id like to think after about 26 years of going to BP id be able to notice a 30%+ increase in home fans. Likely not eh

Indeed great attendance figures and I hope they continue. My sadness is that I haven't been able to make it to BP (funnily enough the same acronym as my old place of employment at Burderop Park, Swindon), this sumner holiday. The fixture list has been unkind. Will have to try for sometime later in the year when next back in the UK.

An old article, but explains that Man Utd, like a lot of other clubs, announce the attendance as the number of tickets sold, rather than number of fans in attendance.

OK. I checked the Waterworks End on United Player. I make it about nil, with no population in the centre, no stragglers and no depth at any of the barriers.

I suppose if you believe in conspiracy theories et.al., I guess an artificially inflated attendance figure could be used to move the goalposts when it comes to the FFP (financial fair play) barriers set for League Two. Seems more than far fetched.
