Typical club update, says absolutely nothing.

I hope the "next few days " doesn't last as long as it has regarding our billionaire otherwise we'll be in the semi final before we learn how to get tickets for Anfield.

They'll basically be discussing wether we get the half or full of the Lower. Time & Date is pretty simple...

If it is Wednesday then unfortunately I can't go and I'll be gutted.

I went to the Chesterfield match and I went to QPR last night, so missing out on Liverpool away will be a right kick in the nuts.

Given they play the Thurs and Sun prior, then Weds has to be favourite?

We should go for the whole stand but realistically will just get the lower section.

We wont get the upper section of the anfield road end as its supposed to be the family section its also a great spot to chuck cups of piss onto us if you drowned out ynwa .

It really wouldn't surprise me if Nixon just took the 3000 seats to one end of the lower.

anyone else get the feeling there going to have to buy a Pool end ticket to watch the game?

This kind of game brings folk back. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see 9,000 tickets sold if we somehow are allocated the full Anfield Road end. Might just bulk up a few home attendances too...

I think 6000 would be pushing it , 9000 ? Living in dreamland !
Remember , these are the same people who can't be bothered to walk down Warwick Road on a Tuesday night/Saturday afternoon to watch a league game. The fanbase is so disconnected from the club it will be a long time before interest starts to pick up again.
I hope I'm wrong but not everyone is as fanatical about CUFC as most of the people who frequent this forum

From speaking to folk I know on Merseyside, they reckon we'll either get 4k or the full 6k. Liverpool would expect a near sell-out regardless due to their Auto Cup Scheme...

The Anfield Road End is roughly 6 blocks of 1k I think? I'd rather we took the lot and maybe had a couple unsold (unlikely), then have 4k and people scrambling...

Please CU, take the gamble on the 6k?

I kind of suspect they'll see this in the same way we'd see an FA Cup tie against Tamworth or Gainsborough Trinity. The difference is that we wouldn't have a load of day trippers from Scandinavia or wherever ready to fill the shortfall in regular fans who'd be tempted to give it a miss. So whether that would have any bearing on away ticket allocation is doubtful.

However I'm sure there'll still be plenty of proper scousers there for us to taunt as our third goes flying in.

Think the Barnet idea is fair enought but surely QPR ticket holders as well?

I know whatever way you do it people are gonna be cut out but those who were there on tuesday might not be at the barnet game, some of the London dwellers for example

Good strategy from CUFC for once - should ensure a decent crowd for the Barnet game thus making us a few more quid.

Still agree that they should do something for those who went Plymouth/QPR mind.

Whilst I agree that those who went to QPR should be prioritised in some way I suspect that a large majority of those who actually travelled down from Cumbria will have been the diehards who will be members of the club in some shape or form anyway, therefore they will get first crack anyway.

As for the London based fans, they will have seen the QPR game as a home game so deserve no greater priority than those who went to the Chesterfield game in round 1 in my eyes. Again, a large majority will have been London Branch members anyway thus making them members meaning they'll also be catered for come the sale.

IMO it should be Season Ticket Holders first, Members second and (if the club want to make money) Barnet stub holders or (if the club want to be fair) Wimbledon stub holders. Equally the club could tell people at the turnstiles at the Barnet game to keep hold of their stubs thus meaning regular fans get priority over big match hunters.

With the FA Cup rules saying 15% they must be able to segregate for more than 6000. Carlisle has historically had a fan base of 4-6k but unlike any other team I know has the potential for massive crowds against big clubs. 16668 against Leeds - the next home game was under 6k! What if 8k sure up for Barnet and we only have 6k tickets?

Until it was confirmed there was always the very faint hope it could be Tuesday. When we played Sunderland on a Sunday in 2014, they then played Man United 2 days later on the tuesday. It rarely happens.

My only complaint is that there is no consideration for people who actually have 9-5 jobs. Either an early open or later finish would have been nice!
