I'd go with the recommendations given. And avoid PC World. I went the two weeks ago said my laptop was tripping the electric mains in the house. I tried it at my friends house and we thought it might be the lead. At PC World they tested the lead and said it's ok, but couldn't test the laptop because it had no power. I was told they expire in two or three years and it was not worth repairing. So I paid £80 to"try" to recover the information from the laptop to my portable hard drive. Then bought a £999 Mac.
I returned the next day to get more information on the Mac. When there a member of staff asked another if the electrics had tripped today after the fault yesterday. I asked again for the lead to be checked. It tripped the electics, The Laptop was powered up and checked and was found to be working.

I got my Laptop and all my money returned. I was given "free" the £2 kettle lead. The staff were very friendly and courteous throughout.
I am writing this on my laptop. It hasn't ever been a problem.
