Sorry to be the pessimist again but if we lose on Saturday there's a good chance we could be in the bottom 2 come 5 o clock.

But its ok because we've got Liverpool, I couldn't care less about Liverpool to be honest if our league form is still terrible. We beat a Chesterfield side that hardly made a tackle all game and made us look good because they gave us time on the ball and we could attack same with QPR who I feel wanted out this cup as soon as possible.

Hartlepool will be a tough game, good manager for lower leagues. We don't do well against sides that bully us. I was more confident of a win V QPR then I am for tomorrow.

Play like we did on Tuesday night and we'll absolutely bum them.
Dicker said the other day that it's only a matter of time til we beat a team by 4 or 5 goals. Can't think of a better time than Saturday!

And I see old fatboy paynter is a doubt for the game, or is that just mind games from Moore?

What's odds on Curle still being in charge by the time we play our cup final at Anfield?
There's only one United!

We can forget about the league we don't want players getting injured against Hartlepool, Barnet & Dagenham.

The Liverpool game is all that matters now.

"Play like we did on Tuesday night and we'll absolutely bum them"

Similar comments have been made after every decent cup performance in living memory - after Everton, Ipswich, Blackburn, Sunderland, Derby , or after good league efforts against strong opposition such as Leicester, Southampton or Wolves. "Play like that against (insert apparently crap opponents) and we'll stuff them"

Probably true but funnily enough it never actually seems to work out that way...

Aye, I can see what you're saying.

But tomorrow will be the second of 10 wins on the trot, and CCU will be crying into his spaghetti in Italy at the thought of a cheeky nando's with big Keith! I can feel it in me watter!

So we beat Chesterfield and QPR almost by default because they didn't really want to win? What a load of bollox

In the past we have quite often gone from a team capable of beating anybody, to a team who look like anybody could thrash us within the space of a couple of days. We have, for years, been a team which has been very easy to bully, I actually don't think that is the case this season, we look like a team which can handle the physical aspects of the game. I think this will lead to us being more consistent, and will enable us to win more games when we finally get going.

The cup results are excellent, and due to my holiday I've seen only a single game, which was last weekend where I thought we were by far the better side and were a bit unlucky not to win easily. I really believe the results will definitely come in the league, and I think we might just see some exciting football at Brunton Park this season, for the first time in years.

I think we'll win on Saturday - same formation as QPR. Hopefully Grainger is still out as we looked a lot better without him in the 2nd half.

So far Hartlepool have beaten Morecambe, York and Newport and lost to Stevenage,.all in the bottom half of the table'
All the teams we have played are above those teams in the table.

I expect a 3-1 victory to us.

I was going to write that I'd agree with Mullen about us being a soft touch in the past but KC has gone about trying to make us a tougher side to beat with his signings in the close season but Moorlad beat me to it.

We're not the finished article yet by any means but we're not the pushover we once were.

Cue the Monkeys smashing us for five on Satder. ;-)

This squad does not have great indaviduals but it's a strong squad, we could make 4 or 5 changes and I don't think the team would be any weaker, we've got good depth and plenty of options. One thing is to stick with dicker he may not have the pace to chase down attackers but he gives the ball away rarely and he can dictate a game. We also probably have one of the most unplayable forward in the league even if jabo's goals dry up he's a handful big strong , clever and quick. I not worried at all of relagtion this season
