Apologies if this has been posted somewhere already.

I phoned Carlisle United this morning as there seems some confusion as to the entitlement for us ST holders for the Liverpool game.

The 2nd entitlement group is members ie CUOSC membershio etc.

Season ticket holders can get 2 tickets Sunday/Monday with their season ticket and 2 more on Tuesday if they produce their CUOSC membership. When I explained that I'd not received any confirmation of CUOSC membershio but had NOT opted out of being a member of CUOSC I was told it was not the responsibility of the club. The club had passed the appropriate information to CUOSC and it was up to them to pass on proof of membership. I have telephoned CUOSC on 07999737390 but got no reply so have left a message.

No doubt some will think, understandably, the advantage to ST holders unfair but CUOSC need to get their finger out.

Just thought I'd post it for information to those in a similar position.

Marvelous so season ticket holders are basically entitled to 4 tickets :(

I understand st holders rightfully get first dibs, but I don't think it's fair that through their ST membership of cuosc they can then go and buy another 2 on that. There's plenty of folk I know that don't find it financially appealing to get a season ticket, yet it seems an absolute free for all on however many tickets you can afford when a ST holder. 2 is enough per card

I fully understand that. However unless CUOSC get their act together and send out proof of membership to ST holders who have not opted out they will only be entitled to 2 tickets because they have no proof of membership of CUOSC to take on the Tuesday. Setting aside the fairness/unfairness of it all it is a shambles.

I'm sure Deano will be able to answer this, and I may be wrong but I thought season ticket holders have until 1 sept to opt out. So technically no one who has joined through their season ticket holder is a confirmed member until after that date.

So you won't have any confirmation you are a member until after the deadline to opt out is past.

I'm sure that the vast majority will agree with you there, DB.

Season ticket holders only got 'free' membership this season because of the lateness of the 'settlement'. However next season ST will have to pay their fee for CUOSC the same as everyone else. That will then put everyone on an equal footing and be aware that membership of CUOSC will put members in a 2nd priority position for future ticket allocations - provided of course that CUOSC get round to sending out the appropriate credentials.

I think its only right that Season ticket holders get first shout but it should only be for 1 ticket not 2. How many will bring alone cumbrian Liverpool fans for their first trip to anfield. As for them getting another 2 tickets via the trust membership that seems a joke.

I'll be waiting for the general sale but doubt we will sell out before then as it is mid week

Another shambles from an amateurish organisation.

I had a feeling ST holders might be entitled to 4 tickets hence why I asked the question on another thread yesterday. Why are they even entitled to 2, let alone 4?

To clarify. Season Ticket holders have until today to opt out of the auto-enrolment to CUOSC. From 1st September, all Season Ticket holders who have not opted out will become CUOSC members.

Welcome packs are being sent out in September to all CUOSC members, and this pack will include your membership card. You will therefore NOT have your membership card in time for the Liverpool tickets going on sale HOWEVER this is not a problem. CUFC will have a full list of CUOSC members at their disposal, for sales from Tuesday 8th September onwards.

I queried the same point this morning and received confirmation from the Ticket Office Manager that Season Ticket holders would be able to buy 4 tickets from Tuesday 8th September onwards (2 with Season Ticket card, and 2 with CUOSC membership) - for what it's worth, I don't agree with that, I think it should be 2 per person, regardless of how many memberships you have. Obviously on Sunday/Monday ST holders can only buy 2 tickets.

CUOSC don't yet have a final list of who has/hasn't opted out, because ST holders can still opt out today if they so wish. I presume the club meant ticketing information.

So, in theory, season ticket holders could get all the tickets. Who actually makes these ludicrous decisions?

In theory a season ticket holder could turn up on tuesday afternoon still within their buying period and tickets could be sold out.

Frankly this is a joke giving Season ticket holders 4

Kidd and King are a joke. This would have never happened when Nixon, Jenkins and Pattinson were running the club on a day to day basis

Bring back Nixon

Deano, that completely contradicts what I was told this morning.

I was told it was MY responsibility to have proof of membership of CUOSC, not the club's. if I did not have proof of membership I would not be able to buy tickets. In other words the exact opposite of what you were told.

Your presumption in your 13.07 post about it being 'ticket information' passed on is wrong according to what I was told. I was told the details of ST holders HAD been passed on to CUOSC so that they could then send out membership accreditation to those people.

Talk about the left hand not knowing what the right is doing.

The CUFC ticket office are aware that ST holders will not have their CUOSC membership card by the time the Liverpool tickets are on sale. I have a copy of an email from the Ticket Office Manager that says that by Tuesday 8th Sept, they will need a list of members, including names/addresses. This information (not a membership card) will enable them to process ticket sales. The initial email from CUOSC to the Ticket Office manager clearly states that ST holders would not have a membership card in time. This is not a problem.

I appreciate this maybe contradicts what you were told, but it depends who told you that information on the phone. My information above came from the Ticket Office manager, which I trust is correct.

When I explained my query to the lady on the phone she told me to hold the line while she consulted with someone else. She was away over 5 minutes and then passed on the information she had been given which I have detailed above. Who she consulted I do not know ( the ticket office manager??????)

Always been the way as YOU ALL know.

So how many STs do we have - 1400 or so, so even if they take 2 tickets each that`s 2,800 - plenty left for the rest of us........hopefully Auntie Mary, Uncle Baz etc who don`t go down to games and who`s grandson goes now and again won`t be first in the queue after the STs Members etc.

I joined in June/early July Deano and duly received my Membership Card with The United Trust emblazoned on it. I emailed to say would this old stationery be replaced with a card with the CUOSC logo on it, but up to press I have had no response. Shame really as doesn`t look especially good on the PR front. Can you clarify what I can expect or raise the question - maybe they should have a Membership Secretary when they sort out the jobs for the Committee /Board

So what if all 1530 season ticket holders go on the Sunday and get 2 each, then 1400 of those season ticket holders go down early on Tuesday with their membership cards and get another 2 each? All tickets gone without anyone else getting a sniff! Like I said, who at the club comes up with these ludicrous ideas?

Hi Seesaw. CUOSC have a membership secretary, Alastair Woodcock - did you email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.? As part of the roles/responsibilities, there will be additional help/support on the membership side of things. All CUOSC members will be receiving a welcome pack in September, which will include a new membership card.

For info, the new email address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.; however either address will work.

Hope this answers your query but if you have any problems just pop me an email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).

And in the unlikely event of that happening they'll have not only alienated the floating fans who go to the Barnet game but the regulars who don't have season tickets as well. Still as long as some season ticket holders mates who never go to Brunton Park get a ticket then all is well.

Deano, I joined the Trust/CUOSC, earlier in the summer. I also signed my 3 year old daughter up. Any idea if I'd be able to purchase 4 Adult tickets, with our 2 memberships? Cheers

Hi Mashie - providing you've got 2 separate membership numbers/cards you'll be fine. Did you receive 2 membership cards, or just 1?

Yeah but they're allowed four each...

So where have you got that from - it`s 2 tickets per ST -
edit to take a pace back, I see where you`re coming from - so in that case these folk who go and get 2 tickets with their ST, then go back and get 2 more with their "Members" card, could also go back on the General Sale day and get as many MORE as they want coz they are GREEDY GITS - as long as there`s some left ofcourse!!!!

OK to avoid this it`s down to CUOSC to with -hold the issue of the ST automatic Membership Card till after the tickets are sold - DEANO over to you

edit: disregard the above - just read the bit about the list the ticket office will have of the new automatic CUOSC members -gonna be fun I`d say. A list?????

I'm trying to get this sorted at the moment Jack. I'm pretty confident (almost certain in fact) that what 1954Blue was told over the phone, and what Andy Hall has told you is not correct; however I'll get a definitive answer as soon as possible.

CUOSC members who have provided us with their email address should have received an email update tonight, which says:
Priority for Liverpool cup-tie tickets
CUOSC members will get priority for tickets for the Liverpool Capital One Cup tie to be played on September 23. CUOSC members can purchase tickets after season ticket holders on Tuesday September 8. You will be able to purchase up to two tickets each. Please bring your CUOSC (Or United Trust) membership card with you. The club will be furnished with an up to date list of members' names and addresses,so if you can't find your card, don't worry. There are still a small number of subscribers to this mailing list who have not yet renewed. If you are not a season ticket holder, and not yet renewed, the closing date for eligibility for priority for the Liverpool match will be Monday September 7.

This is what we have been told by the Ticket Office manager.

Does anyone know what the reasoning is behind letting anyone - season ticket holders, members, whoever - get 2 tickets? Can't help thinking that of everyone who was 'entitled' to a ticket was just allowed one then the situation would be a lot less stressful.

Sorry Deano this IS becoming a nightmare can the ticket office staff really be expected to trawl through a list of some hundreds of names to confirm the person at the window, without a card as proof is a CUOSC Member - imagine the queues ! coupled with a dodgy computer oooooooooooooooooooooooh dear

The list will be in alphabetical order by surname, so it should take a matter of seconds to find the person on the list. Don't stress - it won't be a problem.

Its a complete bloody farce. Everyone apart from 8? season ticket holders were enrolled in the CUOSC so anyone turning up on the tuesday with their season ticket should be assumed to be a CUOSC memberr. Wonder if theyre gonna cross people off the list once theyve had their allocation or theres nothing to stop them rejoining the queue.

Looks like I'll be queuing on the 9th from when I come off nights at 6.30 till the ticket office opens at 10. Hopefully there won't be too many in front of me.

On another note, if the ST holder wants 4 tickets then surely they'll leave it till the CUOSC priority date, otherwise themself and 1 mate will be in different seats to the 2 grandsons neighbours grandparents grandkids

Well CUFC have my email address which presumably was passed on with my details to cuosc as mentioned earlier and I've not received any such message. I've emailed my details to cuosc anyway so we'll see what happens in the next day or two. Setting aside the rights and wrongs of ticket allocation little or no foresight shown all round. What if we'd had a more attractive and nearer away tie instead of QPR eg Newcastle, Sunderland?

Of course they will - in the same way they will prevent Season Ticket holders from doing the same on Sunday/Monday, albeit using a computerised list. Can't help but feel folk are stressing over nothing here.

1954Blue, you are not a CUOSC member until 1st September, hence why you will not have received a CUOSC email today. Season Ticket holders had until today to opt-out.

So you dont think tickets will sell out before they go on general sale?

I think they may sell out before they go on general sale, yes. Is there anybody on here who wants to go to the Liverpool game and:

a) Is not a Season Ticket holder
b) Is not a Flexi ticket holder (or would not benefit from buying a Flexi ticket membership now)
c) Is not a CUOSC member (or could not become a CUOSC member by September 8th)
d) Did not go to QPR
e) Cannot go to Barnet

a) im not
b) im not and cant afford to buy one atm
c) i dont want to join and wouldnt just to get a ticket
d) i did not
e) ive got Barnet tickets but cant get through myself and wouldnt be 100% confident of getting them via a postal application.

I think ill be ok actually but i think at some point during wednesday theyll sell out so whoever is in the queue at that time will be disappointed.
