TOPIC: smart tv / iphone combo help.

right then, font of all knowledge, anyone had any experience of this particular combo? phone connects to the tv, will send photos, videos etc from the phone to the tv but won't allow the tv to be controlled by the phone i.e through the samsung smart view app / sam remote app. apps load to the phone and the 'buttons' light as you touch them to show they are active but the commands don't transfer to the tv.
is it just me or is it all a load of bollox, this technology malarchy?

I have Sky, and with the sky remote App on my iPhone I can control everything I need to and also stream photos from phone to the screen. It's pretty decent actually.

i feel it's a tv issue as my pal has been round and he's tech savy and works with tech and tv's, he had the same issue with his sony phone. apps load to his phone, he could send his photos etc to the tv but wasn't able to control the tv.

Can you not just get off your arse and turn the channel over?
