TOPIC: Wales above England in Fifa rankings

I see Wales have overtaken England for the first time in the rankings, don't know how we've dropped down two places and they've stayed at 9th even though neither team has played since June.

It just goes to show what a load of rubbish these ratings are in the first place in my book. I can't say I take much notice of them.

To be fair, Gareth bale international FC have had much tougher games than England. That means a lot to rankings

I'm prepared to accept that Wales are better than England, what I really can't believe is that either of them are in the world's top 10.

You can't watch much international football or understand how the rankings work then moorlad.

I don't watch too much, major championships excluded, so from the last world cup England were not really a top 10 team, and Wales were nowhere near. Neither have improved that significantly since.

I certainly don't know how the ranking system works, by the look of that lot, it doesn't.

Who is your top 10 on the last two years?

There aren't many good ones now in my opinion.

Don't know, haven't watched much to be fair. I did catch the US playing Germany a while back and they looked light years ahead of England.

Weren't the case today in the under 21s v yanks under 23s mind!

Everyone has an opinion but few have an answer, plenty probably thought Pirlo was a star tonight in the Italy 1 0 home victory over Malta!

In that last world cup even though Brazil were found out badly they were better than England, so were Chile, Uruguay, Columbia and even Costa Rica. Holland, Germany, Belgium and (for God's sake) Switzerland from Europe. Even the likes of Nigeriaa and the USA.

Spain and Italy were bad, but I would not bet on England beating either of them.

Try and watch the Holland match from tonight if you really can be arsed, you might get a shock.

England aren't great but there ain't that much to beat next summer. Sure a lot of people are surprised by the qualifying tables when they look, some will be shocked by the new nations who appear in it next year due to 24 nations playing.

I heard they lost to Iceland. Very odd.

I can't give a top ten to be honest, so many factors etc..

I can give 5 nations we would be clear underdogs against over two legs - Argentina, Brazil, Chile - but that tit has done something daft again today, Germany and Spain. Then got about ten who can all beat each other on the day and who are all far from being great sides, we are in that pack for me.

England never have, because we wouldn't accept it, but the likes of Spain, Germany, France and Italy certainly used to.

To be honest I could'nt give a flying f..k. I'd rather watch the tide come in than watch England, And I am English.....

It is interesting this, the fact that Australia get to a World cup is always interesting in my eyes.

World Cup Qualifiers: Australia 5 Bangladesh 0 (and this isn't the cricket!).

Would love for Scotland to be in that part of the World, warm, cheap and get to every World Cup every 4 years Massive banana skin tonight, how many times do the Scots win, must win games?

Haven't watched this Scotland match but it looks like they have flogged their chance of at least making playoffs.
