When I arrived at Brunton Park I put my gear in the media room just as the votes were being counted so I asked if I could go through and watch.

Present was Andy Hall and Amy Nixon (Club Media), John Colman (News and Star), James Phillips (Radio Cumbria). I was shown the votes and the results. We were all asked how we wanted the results to be shown (whether the full result including the number of votes cast for all candidates was shown) and we agreed that the result should show how many votes each candidate got.

I can honestly say the votes for each candidate were there on show for us all to see.

Given that some votes came in by text; some by e-mail and some in person; how exactly did you get to see the votes for each person?

I'm NOT having a go at you here Bumble, your integrity is beyond issue (certainly to me), but unless you were shown print-outs of e-mails and screenshots of texts (if that is even possible - yes I am a luddite!) then I'm a little confused as how this was done...

Well i sent a email casting votes for me my wife and my son. If the same person opened it that opened the email i sent about postcodes and Liverpool tickets that didnt even have the common decency to respond then i wouldnt guarantee my votes were counted.

Hand written were in a pile, emails all stored in a file open to inspection.

Text messages were also in a file, which showed all the info requested plus the phone number, so each could be traced back to the sender. I was happy with how it was done. short of getting in professional independent adjudicators (which to me would have been an unnecessary expense) I couldn't see any other way of doing it.
