I'm sorry but Danny Danger need to be dropped ASAP.

This man is supposed to be our captain and the only time you hear him is when he's made a mistake and is blaming someone else!

Yes he has some good deliveries and balls into the box but he also has some god damn awful ones!

Today he marked the big no 9 at the corner as soon as the ball came in he left no 9 unmarked and when after someone else and the big no 9 should of scored from that corner but put it wide.

Whilst I'm not a particular fan if Grainger, there was a lot worse than him today. Personally think he's a lot more suited to left wing back where he can knock some decent crosses in and he'd be much less required to head the ball which he obviously doesn't like doing.

Don't think he was particularly poor today, most of their chances came down our right.

Bit odd that he's picked out after a performance like that from Raynes today!

Agree with you up until the last statement. Thought Raynes did okay. Apart from the obvious glaring mistake which could have cost us the game and the fact he wasn't tight enough to Akinde all game when the ball was played up to him, he battled away well often on his own. It must be hard playing as the sole centre back in a team

If he wasn't tight enough all game to his man surely he's had a poor game?

Does suffer from being only true CB in the 3 though...

That was my biggest gripe - you can accept the howler as that sometimes happens but he barely got anywhere near Akinde and was brushed away by him far too often. For a big lad, he's often too weak for me. That said, he got better after the howler and put some decent headers in late on.

Biggest problem we have is we're constantly trying to pass it out from the back - if we are going to do that, we need a midfielder capable of coming deep and picking up the ball with confidence. That's one thing Dicker brings to us - I'd be looking to pick him for most home games, maybe leave him out away from home.

Not necessarily, might be managers orders/tactics, might be that he's confident of dealing with him by standing off him. Personally I though he should have been tighter but certainly didn't mean he had a poor game.

Totally agree with your second point. We need someone from midfield to come deep and collect the ball and instigate the play. Joyce sometimes does come deep but more times than not ends up giving it back to the centre backs. What's the point in a playmaker constantly passing it back to centre backs!

This!!!!! In defending him you've hit the nail on the head!

Raynes doesn't get tight to his man! In fact he stands so far off his man they generally have time for a sh*t shag and shave before deciding what they want to do! He did it t'other week with Akinfenwa when he decided to back pedal 30 yards rather than tackle his f*cking man!

Absolutely hopeless! Doesn't command the back line, is hopeless with his distribution and wins nothing in the air whatsoever!

Given the fact Curle an ex England international I can't believe he's not picked this up!

Bring in CMW asap! 100% a better player!

Only thing I'll miss about grainger is his good crossing. Rayne's was off today, I do feel he's a good defender. Bring troy in instead

Genuine question Bluesmad - is the full stop button broken on your keyboard or are you genuinely this excited about everything in real life too?

He has a decent left foot and fairly strong in the tackle, unfortunately he is poor in the air and has no pace.We desperately need Troy and Atkinson back.
