Thinking of going over to BT Infinity from EE broadband, has anyone had any problems with BT or are they ok?

Wouldn't touch BT with a bargepole after poor customer service about 10 years ago. Planning on switching to Virgin once my 18 month Sky fibre contract is up.

A mate is with BT and has Infinity and they made a complete ar*e of everything when he moved house. First they told him that he couldn't get it on the street where he was moving to even though the bloke next door had it. Then when they finally caved in and decided he could have it they spent about four weeks switching it over. Then when it was switched over he was getting 2mb download speeds. Every time he rang up he got through to Colin from Mumbai who just kept repeating useless sh*te over and over. Switch it on and off again etc until they "cleared traffic on the line" which fixed it for a few hours before it returned to 2mb ("clearing traffic on the line" probably meant fixing his connection and buggering someone else's up until someone else complained at which point they'd reverse everything).

I'm with Sky fibre and haven't had any problems but my mam has had nothing but hassle with sky. I guess it's not until you actually have a problem you don't know how bad customer service is. I've never had any drops in speed and I use around 350-450gb a month bandwidth.

Do it, we dropped sky about 2 months ago and don't miss it at all, granted we got the skysports package off BT but we also signed up to netflix along with BT vision, plenty of stuff to watch.

Also get 50mb on the internet which pisses all over skys miserable 5.7mb and all for £60 cheaper, result.

The Sport is crap - tried to watch numerous games but it just breaks up - did a speed test that showed it should be spot on - message said to download Flashplayer or some such - but then wouldn`t let me....good job the Sport was FREE with our package

Yes, only recently but it's definitely available North of the river. Not sure about the South?

Depends what you use the internet for. You won't notice a difference between 75mbps and 150mbps for general browsing. If you're downloading regularly though, it's a different story. My Sky fibre is only 25mbps and browsing is more than quick enough.

Just had a scan through Virgin's bundles. I can get a package similar to what I'm paying Sky for, for £20 a month cheaper. And Virgin is up to 50mbps fibre too.
