Very encouraging, we were nearly caught and on another day like Orient that goes in but I would say that we are the better team so far.

That's a huge improvement in performance, actual passing and movement makes a massive difference. We've maybe taken a touch too many in the final third, but if we add a tiny bit of ruthlessness into our attacking we'll win this game comfortably.

Really good start - quick, sharp passing and pressing better. Shame that Scunthorpe player got injured as it gave them a breather and they re-organised.
Need to keep Patrick out on the right rather than swapping him over.
It's slowed down again as the half went on and they are sitting in and we are struggling to get through them.
Might be worth putting Walker on for Alessandra as he's a bit quicker and can beat a man and also Charters for Mellish.

Alessandra’s a good player but wasted on the wing, not the pace to beat a man so easy to defend against unless he pulls a trick out of the bag. Wouldn’t mind seeing another natural winger at some point.

Scunthorpe might not be terrible but we should be comfortably beating teams like this if we want to go up.

As poor as some of those recent games were, and they rightly got criticism, you have to give the team and manager huge credit for winning 3 in a row and conceding none
Doesn't matter who the opposition were - it's a really good effort that after such a poor run.
That opening 20 minutes to the 2nd half was really excellent stuff. Really excellent.

You can only beat the sides you play. Crawley and Southend were dreadful. Scunthorpe a bit better but we played well tonight.

Haha I don’t think you can question the criticism they were receiving and it was throughly deserved tbh, but we’re hitting form at the right time and anyone who is a proper fan should be really happy with the last 3 games, aswell as why I was really pissed off with our bad run.

I was pleased to see Ryan Loft hasn't improved since he left us - still a useless lump. Gillead too hasn't progressed as you'd have expected. Good professional performance from Carlisle tonight.

Well in my opinion I CAN 'question the criticism', we had half the squad out with Covid in January,(which has proved, we lacked match fitness) we had a fair amount of games postponed with the weather, we had very little options for training, with lack of confidence, bad luck and as in Beeches words "all sorts of bombs thrown at us" then its hardly surprising we struggled, just a shame that a few people on here didn't see that.

One decent performance and the happy clappers pop up out of the woodwork giving it large.

Today is the first time we've played actual football for the full match since Walsall on January 2nd.

So in context, if you lump in the second half against Bradford, that's one and a half acceptable performances out of the last seventeen.

Still truly abysmal and inept stuff and still sackable performance.

I still don't think the play offs are likely but if we got in we would have to BEAT 2 tougher sides.

Does it really matter how we get the points at the minute?

We may not have been playing the prettiest football, but ffs we are in league 2, the bottom tier of the efl.

I'll take a shit game and a last minute winner off someone's backside over pretty football any day if it means we get 3 points.

We won tonight because we had a sustained 20 minute spell in the second half where Scunthorpe could hardly get out of their own box.

For at least six or seven games after their enforced break the team looked listless, lacking in energy and fitness, players disappearing, they couldn't have managed that sustained pressure they did tonight. The energy in the team is slowly getting back to what it was earlier in the season.
