This referee appears to be favouring the home team

Promising start, played decent football for the first ten minutes or so. A good goal from Zanzala should have set us on our way, but we’ve been poor since.

We won’t play a poorer team this season, yet we are riding out look and looking questionable at the back. I can see us crumbling if they equalise. Next goal is crucial.

In other seasons we normally beat the good teams and get beat off the bad teams scrapping at the bottom, so this is a nice surprise.

Good to get another win but before we got the second I was thinking if we don't kill these lot off then it will bite us on the arse and they'll nick an equaliser.

Three points off the playoffs, who wouuld've thought that a fortnight ago and the best of it is the player who has stepped up with the majority of the goals the large majority wanted us to get rid ASAP.

Don't get me wrong, I thought we played pretty well and were excellent at the back today. How did Southend manage to beat Forest Green 3-1 and Newport 1-0 plus draw with Cambridge, all away from home in February? They were shockingly bad for a team supposedly fighting tooth and nail to avoid relegation out of the league.

If you look at the form table in this league, any result is possible.

Was it just me or did these lot look marginally better than Crawley, certainly when McCormack was on the field. They’re just overly chaotic and lack a bit of quality, but the lad a Aqwah for them looked a handful.

Wasn't a great game, but we scored 2 good goals and got a clean sheet. We didn't looked like conceding a goal (apart from the awfully bad decision to give a penalty ) .

I think we need to use the squad well though, there players were starting to look tired.

Southend won't be any loss if they go as there are another sixteen Southern clubs waiting in a queue to take their place in the FL.

I'd be livid if I was a Southend fan. They were utter gash today. I thought they'd be out the traps at 200mph. They just lumped the ball around like it didn't matter. Nothing at all
