No Courtney Baker Richardson for Crewe. McDonald & Mellor in a four man defence.

Anything less than a win today would be disappointing

A timely reminder how the players are performing this season - -> I panicked when not seeing Mellish on first read through !
the number of comments on this game tells its own story. Pretty drab so far.

Decent start and end to the half, we were poor in the middle third.

523 formation means we’re getting outnumbered in the middle.

Good chance for Dennis near the end, should really have got it on target.

Just when I think Dennis can't play any worse he turns in a disgraceful half like that.

Does he understand the concept of offside? Maybe if he could run faster than 3kph he wouldn't have to stand ten yards offside all the time.

And when you're loitering about offside, don't take the ball of Stretton's toe when he's bursting through himself.

Our only opportunity of the half, a free header from ten yards out - fluffed.

Added to that some horrendous use of the football and the touch of an elephant.

Patrick's on the bench but Dennis is in the team? That's wrong on every level.

I will admit he should have scored with the header.

All to play for
The leagues second top scorer should be on the bench. A player who’s recovering from injury without a goal to his name this season should be starting in his place.

You heard it here first!

Simpson took the wrong forward off.

Stretton was playing well.

Now Crewe are just doubling up on Patrick because Dennis is so ineffective. He's making McDonald look like Franco Baresi.
Poor game thus far, disappointing after Tuesday night’s efforts.

Got 0-0 written all over it. Ref MOM so far, had a good game.
I’d take a point right now. We’re bereft of any idea going forward, giving it away aimlessly every time.
Poor game, and a very disjointed performance. Patrick did nothing after being introduced, Dennis was poor, but the big problem was the ‘service’ they got from the rest of the side.

Barely made a chance all game. Didn’t test a defence which should have been there for the taking

On the bright side, we didn’t lose, and we kept a clean sheet.

When the injured players come back I'm not sure they will improve the first 11. Patrick and Dennis never seem to play well as a pair
Edmondson will make a difference. He may not have been in full flow prior to his injury, but he gives us an extra dimension up front. Feeney is another who will improve us, though Whelan hasn’t done much wrong of late.

Simpson gave an honest appraisal.

One of the worst games in living memory-time to look forward is the best I can come up with

One that won’t be remembered today.

Keeping another clean sheet about the only positive!

Play poor don’t lose quite a good sign

I thought it went wrong from the kick off when ends were changed our players thought 0 0 at halftime would be OK

"One of the worst games in living memory"

Maybe if you can only remember the last six months.

We played worse (at times) under Millen, Beech, Pressley, Sheridan, Curle, Kavanagh and Abbott - for a start.

Have you gone senile?

As usual because you weren’t there, you don’t get the experience. Most of the game, the match was deafened by conversation-a bit like a theatre when the comedian loses his audience.

That game was awful-truly awful. There have been worse but I’m struggling to think of many

We’ve played far worse than today - that’s not questionable.

But in terms of the whole match agree it was awful. There was nothing from either team to get excited about.

Never mind though It’s another point.

A long way from being one of our worst performances, but certainly one of the most boring games I've seen for a while.
I feel enthused that we look solid and organised.
Just a shame we are so short of attacking options (because of injuries) which contributed towards it being a real stalemate as the game wore on.
We could do with giving a couple a rest eg Gibson, Dennis, but they have certainly done more than their fair share so far.

Not sure the injured forwards when they come back will be able to improve our woeful scoring record.
If we can get to the Jan transfer window and still be in a good league position I'd hope we can find find a striker who can give us what we are lacking up front.
