Very unexpected but a good player at this level.

Out of the blue that one!

Has a lot of games under his belt on L2/L1 level for a 27 year old.

Can play LWB from the looks of things, gives us the option of a 352.

If he's the one I'm thinking of from Colchester a few years back. Good player. Gave us a bit of a run around at their place I seem to remember when they hit 4 past us.

From a quick look on twitter most Exeter fans were disappointed when he left at the end of the season.

Interesting his full name according to wiki, if you believe anything off there is
Brennan Ivor Broadis Dickenson. Some highlights of him on You Tube looks very useful.

Pleased with this signing we needed width and experience and gone out and signed a proven wide player with plenty of experience

Live near Colchester, fans raved about him when he was there. Had a big injury since mind.

You say a lot of games for a 27 year old. He's started about 15 league games a season.

Similar in style to Adams looking at you tube highlights.

Just watched his compilation on YouTube. Scored a lovely free kick( Don’t need Devitt now). Went down the wing and cut in , lashed into the bottom ( don’t need Adams) . Scored a few beauties from 35 yards( don’t need jones , now).

Be like a new signing when he makes his debut around the New Year...
A truly shocking "footballer" he should be nowhere near the first team.

His miss from two yards out today was one of the most inept things I've ever seen on a football pitch, anywhere.
Very poor tonight, but there is a player in there.

Everybody in blue on that pitch was struggling tonight. Armer perhaps deserves some credit, but other than that it was an aimless display. I can't blame the players - not when the entire squad is failing.

Yeah, it was a bad miss.
But what I like about him is the fact he doesn't hide. He's got off to a slow start with us, but he's only coming back from injury so really he's catching up on match fitness.
As poor as he was tonight, he was always wanting the ball and getting tackles in. You need players like that in your team, lads who show commitment however bad they're playing.

Didn’t have a great game tonight in terms of end product but he doesn’t hide and offers something different.

The header he won (before the miss) that forced the keeper into a save wouldn’t have been contested as well by Walker, Toure or Patrick and he’s certainly better than all of them defensively / tracking back.

Long throw and set piece delivery gives options too. All of our last 3-4 goals have been from corners or long throws so can’t see him being out the side for a while...
It's pointless "not hiding" if you have spoons for feet and a head shaped like a sheriff's badge.

(Those are purely football comparisons before anyone starts crying)

I appreciate he's been injured for a few months, but if he's not ready he shouldn't be playing. You don't lose all ability to kick a football if you've been injured for a few months.

Our form before new year and since his recent injury was and has been far better than when he was in the side and we had that awful run. I don't think he's a bad player but he doesn't fit in the system we play, and Beech seemed intent on playing him even when it disrupted the team and structure that was doing so well. Lummy has hinted at this previously but it feels like Dickenson in the team did change things. The midfield three of Riley, Guy and Mellish is now looking much better without Dickenson shoehorned in there and the same can be said for the front three, which is now much more balanced. As I say, nothing against Dickenson but we're much better without him in there.

How many games has Dickenson played? Surely Zanzala didn't "fit" in the initial games when the preference was to use JJ/Gime/Patrick. Similarly Rob Mc seems to have come good after quite a few bad games. If we don't get promoted we have a strong team to compete next season and we will need a fit Dickenson.
I think Dickerson is a decent player. Aside from Zanzala, he was the only one who actually contributed during the disastrous run.
Offers width and balls in the box. Talented lad.

He's shown in flashes what he can do, not the quickest down the flanks, but he can put a good cross in. If he was fit now I think he'd only come on to replace Mellish for the last 10. Our current middle 3 are a permanent fixture so ing as they stay fit.

I also think he's shown glimpses and is undoubtedly a decent player but he just doesn't fit in the system we play at present. If we were to change that system i.e. to a 4-4-2 with him on the left then that would suit him more, but then that would disrupt the midfield three and front three that we currently have. There's nothing to say that Beech won't reconsider next season and play differently, which might benefit Dickenson. At present it feels like when we initially signed Devitt under Curle and were playing 4-4-2. Devitt was undoubtedly talented but was neither a winger nor a CM, and we had to change system to eventually accommodate him which is when he came good for 18 months.

Coincided with Adams injury which allowed us to change formation, If only we could get them both firing at the same time

I’d like to see us utilise a more rigid 4-4-2 when we’re Away from time to time. Just think against the better teams in the Division we’d maybe tighten up a little bit. Dickenson would be ideal for such a scenario IMO...
