How does it work wth the minutes, as intrigued to find out how Clibbens has corrected/supplemented his speel.

We invite Q’s on here, prior to Meeting. I compile them and forward to the relevant people. They then answer and send the replies after the Meeting. I then cut and paste into one document which is forwarded to the Club for Publication alongside the Minutes. All this is separate from the actual Meeting.

In the Meeting itself, there is an official notetaker. Al Woodcock from CUOSC has done this since we’ve been going. He makes notes on the Meeting, then the following day he’ll type them up, and forward to the rest of the Attendees to check over. If something is misquoted for example, you then reply with the correct wording. I will add that any adjustments are usually very small, and sometimes just the odd word. The final minutes are then sent on to the Club ready for Publication on the O/S.

The likes of NC obviously like to read the Thread on these Meetings, basic homework isn’t it? He’s saw your comment so decided to forward on some more info.

Well I've had a quick shufti at the strategic document but most of it appears to be 'strategic objectives' i.e. goals, and little mention of the actual strategy to achieve them...

What I could gather was:

Goal: Sustainability (pg 3 of pdf) Achieved By: Spendling less on footballers "reducing our Total football Expenditure and Player Costs to more affordable levels"
Goal: Get to League 1 (pg 5 of pdf), Achieved By: "direct as much cash into our football activities as we can"

Basically two of their main methods to achieve objectives are in opposition to each other

But Carlisle United seem to be a organisation with no clear leader - what are the owners up to nowadays - nixon's still on his fa / fl gig, but the other two are AWOL - the rest of the gang (holdsworth, clibbens, beech) etc just seem to be trundling along making their own individual goals up along the way almost

Just for you ORFC, NC has forwarded some more detail:

“Can I simplify and clarify as they are very important points, central to the financial management of the club

“First objective means...if you have £100 don’t spend £125 on football when you can’t afford it”

The second one means... If you have £100 spend as much as you can on football, because winning Is the top priority, but not all of it, so rest of the club is neglected and damaged.

They complement each other and are different not in opposition.

A profit of £750k cannot all be spent on football in 19/20 or 20/21 if it means we run out of money later and the club is put at risk later.

That’s simple good housekeeping.
