Is this a chuffing wind up.

Billy Atkinson currently involved in managerial selection process as member of interviewing panel. He had been able to influence the process and had attended all the interviews to date. He helped create the short list. He had raised issues during interviews of community involvement and the need to be a 'team player'. He had reported back positively on the overall procedure.

The Trust have dissapeared up their own arse with their own self importance. Who the chuff is Billy Atkinson?
Why would any of their muppets be involved in picking the Manager - what skills do they think they have to justify this.
I know the same could be argued for the other Directors, but at least they have been through it before.
The Trust should just be wound up as soon as possible.

By that token the board are better qualified than any fan ( fans rep or otherwise) and so why would they listen to any fans opinion on the selection of the manager as every fan will be less qualified than them

Backslaps all round for Billy Atkinson emphasising the importance of the new manager being “a team player”. Real zinger of an interview question there, especially for a football manager. Sheesh.

Simon raised the possibility of housing the long-mooted 'singing section' in A Stand and the club had no objection to this in principle.

REALLY FFS!!!

Billy was laughing at the forum at some supporter questions.

Maybe we haven’t got a manager yet as there too busy laughing at the question whether they have any community service experience.

I want the new manager to manage the team and win football matches not be care in the community.

At least we’re not Stockport

If you are running a club and people are accusing you of running it badly/being incompetent/not being professional etc, surely you make sure that everything you post on the club website is properly spell checked? It's a small thing but right from the start with this mistake you create the impression that this isn't a professionally written article.

Comparisons with sales to same date last year are difficult

Why are they difficult? Is there some technical limitation with their booking/records keeping software that make it impossible to look up how many tickets they had sold last season at the point when they had been on sale for the same amount of time? Just seems like an unwillingness to admit that they've lost yet more fans.

Nigel C said he is aware some fans are saying they are awaiting news of new manager. Simon offered to help with phoning around non-renewals to help with the effort next week.

Right so fans explain why they aren't buying a season ticket, and rather than looking to address that problem by being more open about the new manager situation, you decide that your grand strategy will essentially amount to phoning people up and going "pretty please buy a ticket".This is exactly the kind of thing that makes fans feel they aren't being listened to, and if fans feel they aren't being listened to, how can we expect them to "get behind the club"?
