This was a few years ago when I started querying what was happening at the club, yet no one could tell me what the agenda was.

They are right though, I just want a club to be proud of, not one happy being mediocre where certain directors/owners are happy with that.

Same here. People are calling me a troll and saying I have an agenda but nobody can tell me what this "agenda" supposedly is. All I want is a successful club, and criticism is a part of that. I don't just criticize (even though it may seem like it at times!) and I believe in giving credit where its due. For example I acknowledge Nigel is generally very good at responding to questions, which whether we like the answers or not does go some way in helping the fan engagement process and making people feel involved.

If wanting to help the club and see it become successful counts as an agenda, then yes I have an agenda.

i explained about the impossibility of having proof the other day, Bob. The alternative in these circumstances is to say nothing in dubious circumstances when, actually, it is healthy to hold the evidence up to scrutiny and people to account. It happens all the time in Courts of Law, the House of Commons etc so why not here.

Kessler’s approach is a bit more blunt than mine, that’s true. Its apparent that he mods here have got their heads together and agreed a policy that CCU is the outward-facing voice of the board, and that all references to Barrygate will not be commented upon, another way in which truth is devalued here - debate is impossible. But is that a reason to simply let it go, because truth is more important than that? It’s like listening to everything Dominic Cummings says and believing it all because sorting the fact from the fiction is too difficult.

It's not the same though. I know that the mods deleted Barry and his posts, so I'm simply stating something which is true. Whereas when people call me a troll, that's actually a falsehood/lie because I am not a troll. You can't compare fact and fiction in that way and suggest they are the same.

I disagree. I'm not having a go at Laffy and I don't really think it's a case of knowing more/less. There will be some areas of finance where Laffy is more knowledgeable, and some he's not. For example I will be the first to admit he knows more about active investing than I do, because that's an area I've not really got any experience in.

Is it OK to call some threads 'dull' when you dislike them?

I'm possibly more knowledgeable than him in the areas of passive investing, American markets, and crypto markets. But that is neither a compliment or criticism to him, just an acknowledgement that we have different areas of interest. Laffy knows more than me about active investing, UK markets, and the energy sector.

If some poor sod has been devoting a hefty part of their existence pretending to be a steward over a couple of years on here then that would just be weird, the length of time makes it not possible to pass of as 'I had you all there' and would be the work of a genuine loon.
