League Two side Stevenage have signed midfielder Chris Lines and strikers Matty Stevens and Luke Norris on deals until the end of the season.

Lines, 35, and Norris, 27, have joined from Northampton and Colchester respectively on permanent contracts.

Meanwhile, Stevens, 22, has joined on loan from Forest Green Rovers.

Newport County have signed West Bromwich Albion striker Owen Windsor on loan for the rest of 2020-21.

The League Two promotion hopefuls have also made a bid for Swindon Town striker Scott Twine on a permanent basis.

Twine has recently been recalled by Swindon after a highly successful loan spell at Newport this term.

Norris going from Colchester to Stevenage is surprising.

It shows how far we’ve come that I’m not even arsed that we didn’t go for him. At the start of the season i thought we needed him, but Beech has proved myself and many others wrong. Would struggle to find a place for him in this cufc team to be honest.

Yeah I agree we don’t need him, wouldn’t get into our starting XI right now and hasn’t set the world alight at Newport.

I’d just rather he’d signed for anyone but them..

They must be throwing some money at it, fair play to their owner.

The good news is we don’t have to worry about him scoring for Newport a week today which we all know would have been pretty much nailed on. I see proctor has been recalled from there as well.

Yeah Newport have lost some key players in this window I’d be surprised if they don’t fall out of automatic contention in the coming weeks.

Scott Twine will be a miss for Newport but they’ve signed a lad from Bournemouth to replace him. The only other notable departure is centre-half Brandon Cooper. Been impressed with the job Mike Flynn’s done at Newport since he took over and I think they’ll be up there come May.

Not sure if it’s mentioned elsewhere but Max Watters left Crawley for Cardiff for £1m. Strange one for me, released by Doncaster in the summer after 5 games in 2 years, only signed for Crawley in October, 3 months and 13 goals later he’s worth £1m! He was sub when we beat them 3-0 in November and was sub when they beat Leeds in the cup the other week.
