Completely agree, his tackling and strength is great when he used it. Problem to me seems to be his discipline on the pitch. Don’t think it’s laziness, I just think he needs someone next to him like a Callum Guy to marshal him and keep him switched on, strikes me as someone who has got the ability but not the most intelligent footballer which will come with age. I think Harris and Moxon long term will be a very successful pairing but they need an experienced head in there to keep them alert and moxon improved once devitt was on his case.

Personally, I thought he did a good job for us yesterday, he closed down the opposition and got some timely tackles in.

I saw it and thought it didn't sound right, as the highest they had received was 150k , which I don't feel we would have paid , and also if we had it would have stated , an undisclosed club record fee.

Came out of the blue this one but looks to have exciting potential. From watching some highlights Harris seems to be a bit more technical than your average box to box midfielder, more of an all rounder. Reports suggested he is very very talented just lacks the professionalism and guidance which I’m sure Simmo will sort out.

Midfield completed now, although it looks like Harris could also play RWB if called upon.

Seen him first hand last season. Was well regarded at Fulham but seemed to lose his way a bit and was released last Summer. There were a lot of Clubs interested in signing him and he chose Aldershot, more for location as I remember.

He played most of last season at the tip of a midfield diamond, but he has good movement and drifts off and finds space, not sure Simmo will give him that licence as he does tend to lose it now and again. Don't think he will be a starter, more of an impact player, but certainly plenty of potential.

Interesting thoughts on the shots forum. Talented, petulant, inconsistent.

Apparently played really well in a pre season game v crawley which presumably we’d scouted them.

Let’s see what Simmo can do with him in our environment seems like a potential talent that needs time.

The midfield cover we needed. It’s evident we’re looking to bring in young lads, provide a platform for them to perform and sell them on if it works out.

Gibson, Moxon and Guy look to be the starting 3 and with Hilton, Devitt, Jayden-Harris & Charters, when he returns from injury, that looks to be enough bodies.

Striker and centre half all that’s needed now.
