I would personally love to see the lad back. The best I seen playing for us in alot of years.
15 to 25 assists - goals a season.

Not one for old players so much, but his record last season was exceptional. He'd be an amazing signing.

We were left in a position where it would have been a big risk to offer him a big salary when he had been out injured for so long.
I really wouldn't have expected hm to recover so well, so fair play to him for that.
From his point of view , he can point to an excellent track record when fit and does more to earn his pay, than most.
I was disappointed by his reaction to this situation and feel he should have shown more understanding towards the club and the supporters who paid their money for him and others to sit in the stand.

Yeah he's one that if we got the chance to bring him back we should jump at it. He's not one of these never go back players either as he's been back to Bury twice.

Think I'm right in saying he played every game this season. Brilliant player for League 2, even though we beat them he showed his quality down the right that day.

If he does leave Bury, I have a feeling Curle will take him back to Northampton.

The players are allowed to leave on free transfers but my guess would be they are concerned that if they leave they'll never see their back pay.

Bury must have other players who we could take? They were promoted. Tom Aldred? Jordan Rossiter on loan, Chris Stokes (didn't he score twice against us?) . Anyone else

You mean season before last....the injury pegged him back and he wasn't the same player after....he wont be back here.
See the Bury owners statement singles him out for criticism. Maybe the owner should have written to his players with the "facts" instead of players being kept in the dark seemingly.

He was Streets ahead of his L2 contemporaries, they didn't come Close at times, but I wonder if he still has the Drive or has he lost his Way a bit, so do we need to explore new Avenues to move up to our rightful Place?

Personally, Nicky Adams is not a loyal player to recruit. There was 0 chance of him returning even though he re-signed for Bury x 3 and Northampton x 2. Has anyone else noticed the journey he has had with the clubs he has achieved promotion with? He leaves for a club in the same league he got promoted from. I don't think he can hack playing above league 2. I expect Northampton to be up there challenging until January.

He's played well over 200 games at League One or above.

Think they'll be nearly unbeaten at Christmas with the new stars hitting the ground running, then they'll sell their star striker to an average League 1 team and drop like a stone, barely scraping into the playoffs and Keith will start falling out with random people at the club because he has a massive ego.

As long as we finish above Northampton then I don't give a damn, I am loyal to Carlisle United only, so good luck to him if he wants to finish second in the league.

The players that he has signed though 'should' make them there or thereabouts like when he was at Carlisle so they might be throwing a bit of money his way.

One of those things, if he cannot get them to play and he gets released then there will be a decent crop of players for the next manager to choose from.

The director of football however will be doing his nut in regarding the salaries offered I imagine.

There is enough talent within 2 hours of Carlisle easily to get us out of league 2, train from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Preston just over an hour, we should be easily be able to pay 15 player £1000 per week based on turnover so looking at circa a Million per year taking into contributions with a turnover just shy of 4 million for 2018 unless I'm retarded this club shouldn't be running at a loss if we had the right infrastructure and people in place!!

I think they’ll be quickly learning that decent players simply aren’t going to accept 1 year deals, Devitt included.

I’m seeing plenty of other L2 teams giving out 2 year deals, so why the fooc would any half decent players come here for a 1 year deal?

Unless they relax this stubborn policy a bit then we’re going to have to heavily rely on getting a few gems in the loan market and hope we can unearth a few from the trialists that will no doubt turn up.

....and as we all know if your best players are on loan then you cannot make any money off them. The policy is utter idiocy.
