Gateshead suspended from National League

It will end up in a bit of false hope for Aldershot I reckon before the situation is resolved.

It would be terrible for another northern club to go under and save a wank club like Aldershot.

Particularly as their super rich neighbours could plough their pocket change into Gateshead as a feeder club and competitive reserve team for the same price as they pay a couple of first team players a week.

I always thought that, maybe both clubs don't see eye to eye.

There's nearly sixty years of not getting on. They still talk in Gateshead about Newcastle United not voting for their re-election to the League in 1960.

I’d be amazed if there’s anyone at either club who can remember any of that or more importantly, gives a toss about it too.

They loan young players there now so it can’t be that bad...sounds like a handful of old boys on an Internet forum rather than the whole of Gateshead? They’d have to be 70+ to even remember that vote!

Of course this is Newcastle United anyaway, ‘bad blood’ with Gateshead aside, a club who took a handful of youngsters from Newcastle Blue Star over the years and sat back and watched while that club folded needing to pay debts of just £50,000.

Reading this morning though, it seems Gateshead have pretty much broken every rule they could...the league can’t not relegate them otherwise their authority is in tatters.

To be fair, it would be accurate as is he is probably on fifty quid a week.

Our shitehouse of a manager worked for nothing apparently to snare the job.

I would have went for Owen Coyle, at least he has tasted success.

Even if he has or is working for nothing, does that not tell you that he is willing to do that so he can give himself a chance of managing again?
I would rather have a person like that rather than somebody who wants to take every last penny out of the club, (like certain ex managers I could mention)
