Scored two against us in Jan down at Northampton, clearly went into the watching Pressley’s notebook!

They were the only two he scored last season, but good luck to him!

Apparently Curle tried to convert him into a left wing-back! Sounds like Pressley has earmarked attacking midfield for him.

He was superb that day. Really stood out and we struggled to pick him up all afternoon.
I spoke to a couple of Northampton fans afterwards about him and they said that he hadn't been playing regularly for them.
If he can play like he did that day he'll be a great signing.

As others have said, he did stand out in that game against us in January. He seems to have shown glimpses of ability without playing a lot of games, so hopefully he's somebody like Jack Sowerby who did well at non-league level and just needs time to adjust at the right club.

Well if he's only half as good as his namesake then he'll do for me.

That is some defensive collapse after a decent looking first half.

Talented, skilful but lightweight from what I read on their board. Could be the one who comes back to bite us on the arse according to Madrid. Let's hope so and not Bridge of Sighs

2 goals and an assist isn't a bad way to catch the eye of your new manager in the stands. Still need a few more signings before I get back onside, really not blown away with the players we've brought in so far.

Losing Devitt was huge but seem to have brought in a similar player (obviously not as good yet) so fair play

I've got to be honest, I had to search in transfermarkt because I can't say I'd even heard of him despite him scoring twice against us.

So we have an attacking midfielder who scored 3 goals - 2 against us last season to add firepower to our new forward who scored 1 goal for Newport last season and was mostly an unused sub for them!

From his interview

"Last season I was playing all over the place..one week it was one position the next somewhere else, so it was quite frustrating really"

So remind me who's the boss at NTFC...heh heh

People going on like Jamie Devitt was a lower league Maradona, glossing over the fact that for 18 months he contributed very little in terms of goals and assists.

Yes in his last season he was our best player but let's not get carried away. The best player in a team that scrapped it's way into contention then fell away tamely. We weren't a good team last year.

Devitt was indeed no world beater but a different level to what we'll have this season by the look of it.

Last two season, Jamie devitt got double figures in terms of assists and goals, the only off season in his 3 years he had with us was the first, in terms of his goals and assists over the last two years he's been one of the best players in league 2 , He's a player who can't be replaced

Cast our memories back when a skinny Irish lad called Devitt I think. Couldn’t get in the side and then got his chance. How gobsmacked we were when he started scoring in nearly every match. Give the team a chance, all these new signings maybe weren’t given a proper chance at there previous clubs. Live in hope

Deviit was a decent player long before he arrived at BP. He played a blinder against us with Shaun Miller.
