Gray-4 Worrying lack of communication with the defence and lacks dominance in the penalty area but good with feet.

Branthwaite-6 Nothing spectacular but was being played out of position, defended well.

Webster-7 Solid, no nonsense but maybe a bit rusty on the turn.

Mellish-7 Good on the ball and makes some powerful runs out from the back.

Iredale-6 Good going forward but sometimes caught out defensively.

Jones-6 Same as usual

Bridge-7 Good goal the heir to devitts throne didn’t do badly until he was told to play deeper.

Dixon-7 Worked hard and sometimes struggled physically but there’s definitely a player there.

Ricketts-5 Good pace but apart from that not much else.

McKirdy-8 Took players on and beat them. Would’ve had a penalty if it was a competitive fixture. Maybe a bit short on stamina.

Storey-6 Good physicality holding the ball upfront but had chances which he didn’t take.

Duffus-5 Not good enough to compete with the other centre backs and made mistakes.

Percival-6 Not sure yet but seems like he could do a job.

Elliot-8 Strong, determined and good going forward.

Birch-5 Struggled and was beaten to easily for pace.

Scougall-6 unspectacular and played too deep.

Charters-6 Played the simple balls when there were other options going forward but more to come from him.

Galloway-6 Created the own goal and showed good determination to get back and make a tackle on the edge of his own box.

Kerr-6 Ran around a bit and was unlucky at times.

Hope-7 looked good picking up balls from deep and the goal was something out of nothing and wouldn’t have happened if he had a good touch. Seemed a bit quicker and stronger.

Reaves-6 A few nice touches but not really up to speed yet but could improve.

I think we played some good football and Hibs have already played 5 friendlies so they are much fitter than us. Could do with a striker with pace and a defensive midfielder to cover for jones and kelvin. Worried what would happen if Colin was injured because gray isn’t good enough.
