Why did he not play against Hibs? Maybe more focused on his business near Nottingham?

It would be bizarre given Jon Coleman had an interview with him in News and Star at the beginning of the week saying why he's pleased to be hear for another season. Pressley also said on Tuesday he was among those that could be captain.

You never know though. I wouldn't fancy Gray being the No. 1. :-D

Don't like the sound of that if true.

If their keeper is that good he can stay with them and we should just keep Collin.

He obviously isn't going to be worth much money given his age. are we that desperate for cash that we have to sell our decent goalkeeper for say 20k?

He is under contract with us but going by the disharmony with him at the end of last season maybe he has had enough of them, though I do not doubt that he loves the club.

If Sunderland are interested you can`t blame him for wanting to go , play in front of 25,000 fans and have one final big pay day..Its a no brainer.

Oh I do see the point in his motives if that is the case.

We will never find out the undisclosed fee though I imagine if it happens.

Apart from the injured Etuhu he was the only player who never got a minute against Hibs, did that find pretty odd for our first choice keeper.

Adam Collin won't be first choice at Sunderland! He'll be lucky to be second choice. More likely, if true, he'll have a coaching role as well as being registered as a player. At his age that has to be attractive, and he'll be closer to home for his school thing

He was named on the bench. My thoughts on the night were that he wanted Gray tested against decent opponents. He knows all about Collin and he'll Learn more about Gray playing against Hibs than possibly doing bugger all against Penrith.

If Collin isn’t involved again tomorrow then I think we’ll know something is up.

It’s a bloody disaster though if Collin goes because what was obvious from Tuesday night is that Gray is no where near good enough to play for our first team.

It's not like us to sell a solid goalkeeper for a pittance at a crucial juncture. Is Jimmy Glass available?

Available for a pint tonight at the rambler. Maybe wouldn't accept a 1 year contract.

I thought on the night it’s good Gray got a full 90 as Pressley won’t have seen that from him against anything other than Cumberland cup teams. Playing for 90 minutes is different to playing for 45 minutes. Gray started strong and tailed off with some questionable decisions/hesitance. I read nothing more into it than he knows what Collin is about

Be a shame if he goes. Solid and reliable enough.

all views my own

Slim to no chance of Collin going to Sunderland. First choice McLaughlin is in talks over a new deal and they’ve just signed Coventry’s keeper as no.2 for the coming season as last season’s no.2 went back to Holland. A young Polish lad who was 3rd choice, was on loan at Eastleigh last season and has joined them permanently, one of the younger lads is expected to step up into his position.

They talked a lad into retirement from playing to take over as goalkeeper coach last season so that’s a non-starter aswell.

Not involved again at Penrith. Gray starts in the first half and with it being the youth team second half, he won’t be involved.

Something is up. Big big problem we’ll need to solve in the next 3 weeks if he’s away.

Joe Fryer is a far better keeper than Collin would be happy if he came back.

Based on what? Fryer looked ok in the few games, but Collin far out performed him overall.

Supreme bed-wetting going on here.

Make up a rumour, then believe it even when it's been proved to be false.

Some of our "fans" love to wallow in negativity, misery and self-pity.

Anyone who uses the term “bed wetting” can’t be taken serious.

Makes you sound like a complete retard. In fact next time you use it, smack yourself in the face.

Come on Piglet ...be thankful you are stuck out in Canada lording it up watching your adopted side, the Whitecaps instead of seeing a team made up of desperation loans or 1 year deals

Its been negative for years..just more fans have wised up.....and we know the common denominator of that is..

I don't think bed wetting, negativity and the likes come into it.

The word is underwhelmed in reality how most folk feel about the signings and club in general as we try to flog off our best players - that is a really clever move isn't it with the millions swishing about at the club.

Penny pinchers should be banned from owning football clubs as it just sucks the expectations and enjoyment from the supporters when they try to sell our best players to get untried ones as in their eyes 'there are loads out there'.
