Would You Eat The Shepherd's Pie?

My mate works in a shop and this lady comes in and cracks on to him and I am saying 'yeah yeah' and he says it isn't like that as she is an old lady who asked him if he liked shepherd's pie, he says yes and turns up today expecting one and she turns up with three in those foil takeaway trays.

He popped round to se me on his way home from work and asked if I would like one of them as he couldn't eat three so I said yes thank you, it was still piping hot.

Thing is that you know what old people are generally like with food, another mate had a scone at his Grans and found yellow nail clippings in it so had this old lady found some grey gone off mince at the back of the fridge and decided to treat my mate with it?

Would you eat it?

At least the missus and kids are sorted for tea I would say in jest but more likely the dog

My gran makes a mean shepherds pie - it’s an old persons kind of food, which they’ve made sooo many times. Could be the best thing you’ve ever eaten.

Saying all that, who knows what’s in it. Some god-botherers once gave me a minced pie at Xmas, but I didn’t eat it. Didn’t trust them.

So in conclusion, I’m absolutely no help.

We have probably all eaten a load of rubbish from restaurants and takeaways.

When food is given to you from an unknown source you get cautious.

However I am curious so might try a few spoons of it....

I think that you will remember that we all were pal - remember that time about nine of us got smashed and piled into a Vauxhall Cavalier and went to Caldbeck to go sledging, there was a few lads in the boot of the car, back in the day that sort of thing was acceptable

Ask her if it’s beef, in which case it’s a cottage pie and you’re off the hook.

Just eat it and see what happens.
