We should keep imperial measures or some songs just wouldn`t be the same.

I can see for kilometres and kilometres - The Who, doesn`t sound right.

But I would walk 804 kilometres and I would walk 804 kilometres more just to be the man who walked 1608 kilometres to fall down at your door - The Proclaimers, Nope.

Gonna give you every millimetre (centimetre if you`re feeling really cocky) of my love - Led Zep, from a whole lotta love. Absolutely not, does not hack it at all.

We already have kept them, but some are in dual use.

Was in a let's say, pretentious bar, when we were away on holiday in Cornwall this last fortnight...they were offering mostly wines and cocktails and only had 1 pump of a lager and 1 pump of a beer...however this is the question has anybody come across measures of 1/3 pt and 2/3pt....not litre, pint! Bonkers! £4.40 for the 2/3rds... £2.20 the 1/3.
Is it legal as not standard measures?

All liquids in the UK, except draft beer, are sold in metric and have been for decades. 1/3 pint (a third) has been around as long as a pint or half and is generally used as a sampling glass

Draft beer measures have been further relaxed:
You can now have (since 2012ish)
2/3 pint = 380ml
Schooner (425ml) is also now an allowable measure.

They should reintroduce petrol prices for gallons rather than litres, so that if your car is doing, say 40 miles per gallon, you can calculate how much money you're spending as you drive.

Displaying the price of petrol in litres is a con.

We were there from August 17 to 25. Absolutely loved it apart from the blistering sunburn, thankfully on the last day. Where abouts were you? We stayed in Newlyn- little fishing village about 20 mins beach walk from Penzance.
