Even Non-League teams are leaving us behind when it comes to redevelopment!

Aye they'll be bust next year.

We'll just stay as we are. Local club for local people, we'll have no strangers round here

Weird how only 1 of the people on the pitch casts a shadow. Actively recruiting from the vampire community?

They wont go belly up I don't think, adding some bigger investors who have been impressed with their youth development scheme model.

I think the stadium is more to do with the community then chasing going up the leagues.

The same Frank Whittle who are currently involved with active projects at numerous sporting Clubs around the Country?

Only one set of comedians involved in Blue Yonder and don’t think it was them...

As Lummy said this will be an attempt to reinvigorate South Tyneside. The area desperately needs something worthwhile. It's only 6 years since the council took down the Welcome to Catherine Cookson Country signs.

Were you happy with their proposals and the open days they had then CCU?
They seem to do quite a few concepts, but not many detailed schemes. The serious stadiums architects tend to be the AFLs of this world, or the London/overseas guys. Frank Whittle are bit part players from that business hotbed of err Preston.

They can only produce what the client wants, this is our BoD we’re on about here eh?!

The reported spend was in the region of £11k on a ‘Feasibility Study’, which is what was delivered. The material distributed in 2011 was perfectly fine, showing all possible sites, and what was also deemed the most ‘mature’ sites of these.

A quick look at FWP’s Portfolio shows plenty of work at Clubs such as Preston, Oldham, Accrington, Fleetwood, Peterborough and several more, also others sports such as Leicester Rugby and Doncaster Racecourse. Not bad for what you call ‘bit part’!

I’d say they’ve more than enough experience?

They were willing pawns (only in my opinion). Look at the costs allocated for the refurb of BP as the reason to justify Kingstown. Was a gun held to their head? The only major maintenace costs I have seen in the last five years or so is in replacing a couple of roofs.
As with most websites, look a bit closer to what it says. Look at Leigh Sports Village. The appearance is they designed the project. It says "FWP have provided consultancy advice to Greenbank Partnerships the developer of the site delivering the various components that combine to create Leigh Sports Village including the multi-use stadium, athletics, education and hotel phases".
Leicester Tigers "FWP have over a number of years provided project management and cost consultancy services to the club on ground redevelopment aspects".
They were originally quantity surveyors. You are right in that they have picked up quite a bit on the sports front, but more on a QS, Cost planning, project management type projects, and design works on single stand and smaller scale developments, hence the bit part comments in terms of stadium developments.

Come on even the vampire community need a stake in their local club. Leave em out and they’d just get cross.
