Its in the statement issued by the football club, signed off by their lawyers. You didnt have any money and you faked documents showing pledges. That statement has never been amended, retracted or challenged. No apology ever issued, so why would anyone ever assume it wasnt True? Prove its not True.

How are the BOD 'totally discredited'?

Ran out of money, ran the club into the ground, calling the fans ..., threatening a fight with a fan, cap in hand to EWM, granting a debenture over the club and PGs, EWM stepping in to run things, falling crowds, decaying stadium, EFL relegation threat-again, collapsing commercial income, scoreboard, disabled ‘bus stop’, pigeons,Victorian toilets, losing control of KC budget ,still losing £10k per week-oh and billionairegate.

Have I missed anything?Its a fairly extensive list.

The internet is full of statements from police, lawyers and other agencies regarding crimes. If those statements are not withdrawn, amended or apologised for I believe them as a matter of course. Its possible that I am too distrustful. But I have never had to recover money because I sent cash to Nigeria, a Ukrainian bride or a company offering 300% return on investment. So it's a strategy that has stood me in good stead when so many prey on the gullible and not one I'm going to change.

As for Alan he spent 2 years doing everything could to give the impression he drove 5 miles after work to scramble up some hill in the Lake district. I think we've got a clearer picture on the accuracy of that now. So again, not really seeing why I should become less cynical.

Email from the guy dated 28/4/15 who wanted more than 25pc.

‘I am looking at around £250k to invest.When are you looking to bring out the prospectus as this will help things along?’

Two weeks later, he’s one of the two(Bell being the other)who are claimed not to be investing-after talking to JN but before the Prospectus was issued and not talking to me.Funny that eh.He later admitted he had spoken to AJ and JN and that the accounts were a mess.

No idea-Robin Brown told me not to give them the list but I did in the spirit of openness.Of course they didn’t abuse Robin but he met at least half of the list with me as he knew them!

What most don’t seem to realise is you can’t ask more than a handful of guys to invest without a formal document.Its called the law and most savvy guys wouldn’t put money into a football club without some idea of how it’s being spent and run going forwards.We were never given the chance to issue any finance document or new Share Agreement.

My understanding is that we did the same job, in the same department, of the same firm. I'm just older than you so I was there 10 years before you.

I don't know how you got to Corporate Finance but I went through the typical route of training as an accountant then being shifted up. For people who don't know, corporate finance is the panacea for accountants. You don't just get a salary you get bonuses. But the real gain is that it is a golden arch you walk through to a job that will set you up for life- like Liam McCarron getting his move to Leeds. Use it well, and he'll never have to work again. So in our row of desks people went to be head of fixed income trading at a bank, head of swap trading administration, head of the National Audit Office and head of a business unit in a developing country for the firm. All salaries that would be at the bottom end of the Premiership.


There is so much competition to get there that they only take the very best. The people that go, get prizes instead of passing exams, work those extra hours, are that wee bit more creative and are willing to kick a few extra ladders away to get up. And that's why my training tells me the statement is true. Because anyone who has worked that hard and single mindedly is never going to let Nixon & Co get away with that. I wouldn't have slept until they were naked in the market square if they wrote that about me; and so would the 30 people who worked with me. Depressing I know, 30 people like me, but if you're fighting a takeover nice isn't what you need.

If you were 20 years younger that would be career over. Not even an apology? Simply beyond my ken.

If its not true how did you ever survive at work? It must have been hell.

I left Marko-I didn’t like going on holiday and wondering who had stabbed me in the back when I was away with my family.Like frogs in a small pond climbing on top of each other.

In retrospect some of the ‘tax planning’ I saw was highly immoral and bordering on fraud.Profit related pay manipulated to screw the employee,transfer pricing to screw the taxpayer.

I got lucky-met John Boyle and we sold Direct Holidays for £85m six weeks after I left PWC.

I wouldn’t get into PWC now-and I suspect you wouldn’t either.

My first day was in audit at the coop counting video machines.I figured out after a day counting thousands of them that audit wasn’t for me and went and saw the senior partner.Told him I didn’t want to waste my life counting things that were worth nothing-they were all Betamax.

He moved me into tax the next day!

Edited to say I started in tax investigations before getting the call. First one was Dundee FC.
Did a short stint in insolvency, I couldn't do that. The work they were doing was fascinating but the human bit I couldn't stomach. Watching people throw up when they realised they had lost everything, making people redundant as a normal day at the office. Not for me
