5 realistic signings you would like in January

Martin Woods- Released by Dundee in the Summer. Solid tough midfielder better than bridge

Craig Tanner- Released by Motherwell formally of Plymouth. Good player not sure if we could afford him but we need someone who can play through balls like devitt

Andrew Davis- Released by Ross County. 34 loads of experience and played in league 2 so knows what it’s like.

Scott Quigley- Scored 12 for barrow this season and is a big target man. Unlikely and possibly too risky

Craig Morgan- Been around league 1 and 2 experienced anyone but Webster

Given that by January we will probably be in a position where reaching the play-offs is extremely unlikely and also hopefully we will not be too close to the drop, I think there is something to be said for sticking with what we have got, pretty much.
Would like to see Sagaf and Loft given more game time. I hope we can keep Olomola and I am assuming we will still have Branthwaite.
Webster and Bridge were the weak links last night but they are under contract so can warm the bench. I think the likes of Iredale will improve with more games.
Just seems pointless wasting money on short-term deals for players that aren’t likely to be much better than what we have.

I think it’s fair to say it’s extremely unlikely given the fact that under this manager we haven’t managed to win 2 on the spin since January let alone 3 or 4.

You’re right though, 4 wins on the spin would help our playoff chances, but to do that we’ll need a competent manager capable of putting that kind of run together.

We may have to replace players Braithwaite and McKirdy might be hard to hang on to especially after Harry's man of the match on national tv yesterday.

Clubs don’t tend to sign a player of one performance especially on tv because it’s too risky. They tend to watch a player over many games.

More of a prediction than anything else. There are a few players in our ranks that I'd love to see become a regular for the next couple of seasons.

I’d use some cup money to bid for Jack Sowerby.

I know people will say we’re obsessed with ex players etc, but he’s exactly what our midfield lacks at the moment, both on and off the ball. He’s not a regular at fleetwood this season so they’d maybe listen to offers.

I'm sure the milk tray man will sign a couple of duffers he claims are real uns.

Well he's not a realistic signing considering we would have to pay money for him and god behold, probably have to offer him a 2 year contract.

On the Scunthorpe Board (?) I saw a comment that Olaf and their manager absolutely loathe the sight of each other and there is no way he is going back at Christmas. Be good if that was true. Probably better to keep him on loan though and sign him from 1/7/20 as he'll be cheaper

But whether their manager will still be there by January is questionable

I don’t think we’ll need to pay that much. Fella should get himself released and we can have him for free.

how old are you Aberdeenblue28? if you are 28 your maturity is about 10 years behind setting up this thread.

this recruitment of players is what divides the supporters from the club.....what we all want the club don't get.

Completely agree about Sowerby. We should be doing everything to get him back in January as he's everything we're lacking. He's probably the one out of himself, Yates and Nadesan who made the biggest difference to us first half of last season. One of them players who just make everything else in the side tick
