Is the premier league crooked was created by aberdeenblue28
Salah’s goal today raises a number of questions about the premier league.

1. The goal would be offside in any other game

2. Sky Sports did not show a replay of the goal till half time despite it being a major taking point which they usually would show about 10 replays

3. It’s got to be the first time the premier league had issued a statement at half time about a decision very odd

4. The VAR check was done a lot quicker than most VAR checks in the premier league. Was it checked at all?

There is something extremely suspicious about this

I have to say I thought his knee was offside, but was maybe level with the defender's toe.

The Deli Alli handball against Everton was shocking. If that was against a Liverpool or Man City do it would definitely be a penalty.

They wouldn’t give it against Liverpool it’s quite obvious that the premier league wants them to win the league

According to a former journo he’s has been told from a reliable source that var was not used in the first half today due to technical issues. Should the game not be postponed to till it is working

I think they would have won it before now if that was true.

Amazing to think that they managed without VAR for so long.
It looks for offsides that nobody even noticed,
It encourages players to dive/go down easily more as they have a shout of a pen for some obscure stuff.
Showing things in slow motion gives a false impression of some incidents.
It is very much on the hoof and one incident in one game and the reaction to it seems to influence the way a decision goes in another game the following day.

I hav'nt seen the Liverpool game yet so I will make my own judgement when I watch MOTD.

However, I listened in the car and my first thought was, any referee who, not only awarded a penalty to Man City but also cancelled a goal by Liverpool would be a very brave man.

Whether that decision was taken at Anfield, Old Trafford or St. James Park he could potentially be lynched.

The commentators thought it was a penalty, if Liverpool hadn't scored I think there is more chance it would have been given.

I think the referees are waiting to long before stopping the game to go to VAR.

Do I think VAR Has improved things. No

I think any technology should be brought in gradually, like goal line technology, which has been a good thing.

Football should learn from other sports, for example, why isn't time keeping taken away from the referee, surely he has enough on his plate.

No ref has ever been lynched that I'm aware of.

Figure of speech, there would have been a very hostile reaction to the officials.

That's more PC.

yup defo 18 (see previous thread you started). I would refer to the Premier league as 'Bent as a nine bob note'. have you ever seen Ozark? in case you haven't check out Netflix for box sets. there are several clubs owned by organised crime to launder money.
