Why won't CUOSC issue a statement saying they have no confidence in the current regime? It's very clear that most fans want the BOD gone, and if CUOSC really are a voice for the fans they need to stand up and represent our views and make the BOD realize they are not wanted. If they won't do this, they have absolutely no right to say they are a voice for the fans.

Sorry to read that. Always felt John was usually a vote for the fans. One that went to a lot of matches , home and away, and was happy to chat with folk.

He was also very keen that other fans with different ideas got involved. CUOSC will miss his voice of reason.

I think you should put yourself forward Melbers.

You're obviously a man of the people who's wit and humour could bring a much needed levity to the Trust's approach. That would appeal to the fans across the board from Lord Windermere right down to the likes of Munchy and Mullen.

And maybe you could get that back lane to the rugby club paved (gratis) with your connections.

The CUOSC board are divided.

I asked the question but never got any firm response - it's up to John if he wants to make public, the reason why.

I get the feeling, and the resignation doesn't change my mind, that's there's a firm clique within the trust and no one's going to change it.

The trust were quick to like the clubs statement - not so quick to tweet a simple thank you for years/works done. i'm not surprised in the slightest, we saw from the last person who went, go against the grain and away you go. Sad!

As many of us have known for some time that the BoD of CUOSC are divided with infighting amongst the group.
It looks like some are there for fans, what it was set up to do, and some are there to help the football club.
As a member this is not acceptable.
A mysterious propsal is quoted as saying the reason for the resignation, well us fans need to know what this proposal is.
Do we want @CUOSC reptesenting us? In my opinion, no as they are not listening to us and they are too in deep with a failing regime at the club.

Taking a specific point in your post
They are indeed there for the club because it’s clear that if they were there for the fans the club wouldn’t allow them on. It’s a typical you’re one of us now situation.
They don’t trust fans to be able to grasp the ability of running a football club. I’ve had that from the horses mouth.

Crikey, there's a new and novel approach. Can't see that getting very far with either side!

Reading between the lines, I don't think we will be calling for the Trust to be disbanded for much longer.

with a bit of luck they'll turn on each other then the truth will out.

I think some of the CUOSC representatives have delusions of grandeur by the sound of it.

John resigned in early September yet it was only announced last week, 2 and a half months later. Tells you all you need to know about the trust.

That's why they work so well with the BOD

I couldn't care about the Trust announcing anything Chances are unless they go changing some more rules the present Junta won't be around in a months time.

You’re well wide of the mark on this one Bazza, he’s got nothing to hide. It wasn’t his news to announce - think about it, if a chairman or manager leaves a football club who’s job is it to announce the news? The individual or the organisation?

I think you’ve gone after the wrong one NS - John always has time for supporters, listens to both sides of the argument. I’ve disagreed/agreed and had good conservations. Johns the only one from the trust to ever call me, listen to my issues - then give his side. With everything he said he gave an explanation to his thinking. I think he has talked shit at times, I’m sure he thinks the same of me at times.

It’s the ones that accepted the “mystery proposal” without investigating it is the problem.

I guess more will come out in the coming days.

As recently as when we played them earlier in the year he was sticking up For Stuart Day when everybody and his dog knew exactly what he had been up to for 3 years at Bury and what was about to happen soon after. But no he wouldn't have it and suggested Bury fans hadn't got the right to visit his house in Blackburn and register their views on their way home.

And then there's the matter of the years he could have been spilling the beans from the boardroom but chose not to and let's not forget dozens of Nazis ran off and slagged off the regime just before it fell but when the day came that didn't stop them being found guilty and executed at Nuremberg.

As I’ve said i think he has talked shit at times. I have at times too.

I can only comment on how he was with me which I never had a problem. At least he came on here and communicated with supporters. From the meeting last Saturday the trust didn’t seem happy he came on here!
