However in his job interview I hope he spelled out that the club needs to sign at least five players in the winter window to ensure league survival, because no matter how good he is as a coach the evidence over the last four months is that the present squad isn't good enough.
And Pressley's revelation that players were in tears in his office would suggest that even if those individuals are good players, they might not have the stomach for a relegation fight.

Really? At least partly to blame for the turgid bucket load of toss we're seeing on the pitch at the moment....Taffy-P wrote: good move to get Gav Skelton sighed up long term

I think he had a partial say as assistant manager, which is why I said he was "at least partly to blame " if he doesn't have any influence at all then what's the point in him being there?bluebry wrote:

Give over you bloody clown, how on earth can anybody blame Gav for the current mess, yes he was part of the previous regime but do you honestly think he had a major say?? Its soley down to the manager as to who he signs and how they are going to play and if you are the head coach or assistant manager then the final decision does NOT lie with you. All the major decisions was Pressley's, and Pressley's only, and that's why he had to go and Gav is still here.
