Open Letter to Andrew Jenkins

I don't know why people bite to good old Timothy, as you have to feel sorry for him really, if you have seen him in the flesh you would understand, he has been at it for years, he has no one else to talk to so I suppose engaging him you are keeping him company.

Here is a middle aged man, coming onto this board as he was receiving no attention on the other one, looking for conversations due to what I can only think of going off the past, no mates.

I enjoy his views/wind ups, but for those who he annoys, just remember, I have seen this bloke, I know what he is all about, remember he said there was nothing to worry about at the start of the season with SP.

The bloke (not lad, BLOKE) NEEDS this messageboard, let him crack on, he was unhappy when we were breezing League 2.

He has to hammer me, imagine someone like me who he dislikes getting involved with the club, he would be hammering Skinner and myself to his 3 Facebook friends constantly!

He is in his 80s, not 15 for gods sake, and has his own money, so it just does not wash. Understand with the Pioneer element, but he has been out of Pioneer for may years now and it has not stopped him putting money in. We all know how much he has under his bed according to NS.
I would think it is more likely he has just had enough of propping it up to feed poor managers egos.

As for his family's intervention, it might be his money but it wouldn't be at all surprising if he had been persuaded by them to preserve their inheritance and curb his spending at the club.

You were a very average midfielder who was lucky enough to play in an exceptional team - but you haven't moved on from this at all. Your head is still stuck in 2006, even although you've achieved nothing since then. You've neither the balls nor the credibility to become a coach or a manager - so you've taken the coward's route and become a small time local media pundit. You're no Peter Murphy, unfortunately for you.

As for your "approach", I may indeed be stupid - but not stupid enough to see you as anything other than a spokesperson. Unlike Lapping, I don't doubt your genuine intentions, but you really need to question the wisdom of getting into bed with Steve Skinner - his record with Celtic Nation says everything.

I will back myself though, from retiring to now, instead of going back into the football route and waiting to get back in, I went to college, uni, courses to look after mine and my family’s future.

Panface, in fairness, average with a couple of excellent performances. I think I'd have to concede you played quite well away at Scarborough in the Conference and at Brisbane Road that time in tier three. The majority of your performances, however, were entirely unmemorable and very forgettable.

I've only ever left three Carlisle games early - Gillingham in 1987, Scarborough away in 1993 and Yeovil away in 2003. I suspect you weren't at any of those games - because you aren't even a Carlisle United supporter, so much for you. In real life you can't even string a sentence together.

For the record, I've never been "confronted by Fred", I only ever had very civilised conversation with him - sometimes under the stand at home games, once on Bothchergate over a drink or two - when we talked in agreement about his sacking of McDonald and appointment of Ward.

I was critical of him, on the old forum, for the way he handed the club over to the custodians - but I haven't seen or spoken to him since then. Plus the way he wrote his debt off pretty much invalidated any criticism I may have had.
