Reading that the Bolton chairman has done nothing wrong unless he fails to make the payment next week, if Forest Green refuse to accept it then they are reneging on the deal - seems like that crank chairman at Forest Green tried to re-negotiate the deal and wanted an extra 250k.

Doidge cannot play for anyone else this season so they cannot sell him to anyone else.

Maybe it is a contrived plan by the Forest Green chairman as they now have Doidge back and they are firing for promotion, possible automatic so what a new signing that could turn out to be - Doidge could be playing against Bolton next season in League One.

Because the Forest Green chairman has been kicking up so much fuss, the 100K in wages they owe Norwich for two other loan players seems to be getting largely ignored

One of them had moved house and last week his girlfriend quit her job to move to Bolton with him but both players have apparently now gone back to Norwich

Has anyone been following this through? The thing about whether or not they have to pay for Christian Doidge. Apparently, the catch here is that Bolton signed a contract saying they would loan him, then buy him in January. But between signing the contract and January they have been put under a transfer embargo so they can't legally fulfil the contract. Technically, therefore, Bolton are correct. FGR are claiming that they should have foreseen that embargo and known it was going to happen, which sounds reasonable with Bolton's financial situation. Apparently, Doidge is not the only player, there is a goalkeeper in there as well and other clubs are now claiming they have unpaid transfer fees from Bolton. Can't see this doing Bolton any good in the long run

Norwich are owed over 100K in wages for two players that have been on loan there.

One of them is the goalkeeper you mentioned, whose wife has jacked her job in, in Norwich and moved to Bolton a week before it all kicked off as he was meant to have signed for them but that's all fallen through too

Wolves was nearer a million and a half a week but at least they had the good sense to ringfence it and will pay it off out of 4 years of PL/Parachute money. Which is a model being looked at as a possible future financial governance model.

This potentially is the deal that will finish the EFL if they allow it to go thru.

There are a group of people who are all owed money by the club so it's not in their interests for it to go into administration. So their solution is to buy the club and strip its assets over a period of time [ even more than they have been already ]

So although on the face of it what looks like a consortium of local people with the clubs interests at heart it's really anything but that.

And I presume hes not already owned a couple of million by them so hes clearly not part of this.

Mind you he didn't half come across as thick in that interview yesterday I had him down as better than that.

The three that I know of are the Davis family who want the 5m they lent Anderson last year to buy off Blue Marble back. The Warburton Bread family who are owed about 4 million and the company who run the parking at the stadium who are owed just short of 2 million.

Must have been selling some amount of slices of bread on matchdays to rack up $4m in debt to the bread man! Should have bought a bread maker like our lass.

Warburtons is the best bread on the market and doesn't dry out like Kingsmill and the likes.

Four million would be a piss in the ocean to that lot regarding how many items that they sell on a daily basis.

It's not as if the Knead the Dough.

But they've been lied to over and over again by Anderson and were pretty clear he was trying to cook up an exit where he got cash and they didn't.

So their plan is to take it on without Anderson getting anything, sort it out, find new investors to join them or new owners completely but the cost is that they start to get their loans repaid from day one, they are convinced that a club with a small [ on Bolton's scale anyway ] amount of managed debt can have a reasonable sale value that would end up with them being repaid what they're owed in full over time.

They seem intent on wiping Anderson out for what hes done to the club and were all ready with a pre-pack admin at the court on Tuesday for if the order had been granted. Clearly, Anderson is doing everything he can to find an alternative option but the clock is ticking once again.

Bolton been told that their next two home games to be played without any fans in attendance.

New owner is a twice bankrupt and was banned from the game in 2013 for three years for financial irregularities.

Has the deal been confirmed yet ?

Could be the beginning of the end for this lot as the FL don't look too kindly on this sort of stuff funny enough.

Didn't they get around 6m for Madine, then again that was probably just a piss in the ocean of their overall debt.

I wonder if their Director Of Football is constantly on the radio and in the press slagging of Sam Allardyce because he overspent.

You really couldn’t make this up, he even changed his name after the first bankruptcy! How are these rogues allowed into football in the first place, let alone allowed BACK into football? Shows once and for all that the fit and proper person test isn’t fit for purpose.

Obviously the worst team we had to play were Yeovil but they are also the most dangerous as they have something to play for and are fighting for their lives.

It would have been sickening on the last day to lose but getting beat off a pedestrian Grimsby who already had their flip-flops on was unacceptable from manager and players.

He told Sky Sports News that the players' wages would be paid and that he would speak to the EFL in an attempt to find a resolution

He sounds like a man of his word then.

PFA should have covered those wages. You can't have games called off like this its not a Sunday league. The integrity of the league is paramount even though it doesn't affect relegation/promotion in this case.

We’d be able to subsidise any problems like this no bother, this is when the £150 made from the CUOSC quiz nights comes in handy.

It was Bolton- well, their chairman at the time - who wanted no relegation from the PL when they were in it. How times change. Just shows how driven by greed and short term thinking they were. Really feel for the supporters. Football needs to get its house in order. The governing bodies have so much to answer for.
