As the secret barrister said "for the rule of law to mean anything, it has to apply to all of us. Including those who would do us the most harm"
All Javid is trying to do is get some tough guy points, whilst dumping a problem created over here on another country and pretending that stripping a 17yr old of her citizenship somehow makes her disappear.
If she came back there is no guarantee that she will be convicted of anything, at least that is what legal commentators in the media have said. So she might never see a prison but be free to carry on living freely in the UK at the taxpayers' expense.
Would the 'Secret Barrister' want her for a neighbour? I doubt it. No doubt the 'Secret Barrister' lives in a nice house well away from such problems. Some other poor soul will have to put up with having someone who has signed up to a death cult living next door.
She isn't 17 she's 19 and therefore an adult.
It's also possible that she could come back realising she made a massive mistake as an impressionable 15 year old. Accept the consequences of that decision and go on to be a contributing member if our society, why is there the assumption that she would want to "live freely at the taxpayers expense" rather than get a job and raise her child ?
But obviously she will need support to deradicalise and for the PTSD she more than likely has.
I'm sure with that with 'Jihadi bride and ISIS member' on her C.V, employers will be lining up to give her a job.
Maybe you could suggest some suitable professions?

As others have said, all of this is just a distraction tactic by the government, hence why there has been hundreds of people who have already come back and nothing at all has been said. Not a coincidence that the government is in a tricky place so this bit of news suddenly crops up.

Drivel.
So the great unwashed can't process there being more than one story in the news at once? I suppose naming the killer of Alesha McPhail was another "distraction tactic" was it?

I can't see many on here gloating about the death of a baby, on the other hand, how do you define a barbarian?
I would class those who behead innocent people and throw homosexuals off tall buildings as barbarians.
But, if you want to class people who don't want the return of potential suicide bombers into this country as barbarians, well, yes I am guilty.

They deserve each other. If I was in charge of the Tory party I would simply buy a job lot of the Bower book and send to it the entire electorate instead of producing a manifesto

'THE BOOK EVERY VOTER MUST READ’ Mail on Sunday. Should out everyone off reading it alone.
www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.c...wer-tom-bower-review
www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.c...-hatchet-job-failure
Reviews seem to suggest that nothing in the book is groundbreaking or 'new' news at all. Keep banging the anti-Corbyn drum though Andy.

What I don’t like is this holier than though shit that Corbyn and his merry band trot out-whilst sitting on an epidemic of anti Jewish racism, bullying, anti western rhetoric. If Abbott gets off on being roughed up by Corbyn with his NUPE union card round his neck, that’s just fine by me.I do wonder what books she has been reading.

Maybe we should do a ‘Corbyn fact of the day’ thread to balance the anti Tory feeling on here?

Unfortunately it's a thin line between whipping up hatred for an ISIS bride or terrorists and whipping up hatred towards muslims in general.
