This sounds like the same poor first half as last week....haven't heard Devitts name yet and the defence are not on it.
Grainger brought down for a nasty one...and they get a Red..Ricky Miller

Sure I read a few years back that Robbie Williams invested in Port Vale or at least gifted them some money as he is possibly a supporter.

As the match is frustrating me because I am fearing them scoring a late goal I had a quick Google.

He became a shareholder gifting them 240k five years ago, don't know if he still is or not though.

You probably mean Ricky Holmes, went to Charlton and now at Oxford I think.

Ricky Miller is the one who scored stacks for Dover in the conference and got a move to Peterborough but done sod all since. Had more clubs than Trevor Benjamin!

We’ve give. ourselves a great platform to achieve something this season. But what we do before Friday could be season defining. With Gillesphey going under the knife, Liddle as well, Arthur off crocked on his debut, added to the departures we need 3 or 4 players in I’d say.

Hopefully the club get things done. What an opportunity this is.

Notts County's next four games could be pivotal to both our aspirations.

Notts County - Lincoln City

Forest Green Rovers - Notts County

Notts County - Mansfield Town

Notts County - Newport County

Both teams battling away in every fixture for their own reasons so this could go either way.

Brilliant. Just brilliant that. Came out of the ground punching the air.
Not a great game. Not a great performance but that feels like a 6 point win.
Honestly couldn't see us opening them up second half. Lots of sideways passing with little goal threat.
Credit to Simpson. It was an own goal but he got in there from Hope's cross and in it went off the defender.
He was also very unlucky with a good effort which the keeper did well to keep out.
Thought it was a red on Danny. It was a ball hit a bit short from Parkes to him and it did invite the challenge but he took the ball and cleaned Danny out afterwards. Not sure he got too much of Danny but it was an unnecessarily strong challenge.
Special mention to Parkes and Gerrard who I thought were both superb, particularly at the death.
Sowerby was a bit quieter today and a real shame to see Gnaouha go off as he showed some nice touches and whipped in a good cross.
Bumble, I hope you've dried off. My heart did go out to you.
Overall, huge credit to the lads for working their socks off on a difficult pitch in poor weather.
Not vintage. Gritty not pretty but it really felt like a big win that.
Get in there.

Definitely the wettest I've been since last time I got really wet snapping football. I do question my sanity at times. I know if we hadn't won I would be feeling very grumpy tonight.

As you say it wasn't a vintage performance but we had belief, they didn't. We really want the wins, Parkes at the end roaring at the crowd, then Danny roaring at the crowd, two lions.

It would have been great to just turn up and grab a few goals in the first half and stroll the game, but performances like today when each player give his all, those are the ones I feel very proud of my team.

They aren't going to let things slip without a fight , I just really hope that this week the club can help the players and our aspirations with a couple of good, pitch ready signings.

Still no part for central heating boiler so struggled to get me and equipment dry when I got home. Glad it doesn't rain like that every week but thankfully it's not as wet as that very often.
