Our record transfer fee received is still the £1.5m for Matt Jansen. Admittedly we haven't had any young players with his levels of potential since then, transfer fees have inflated massively, but £1.5m is still our record. Seems plenty of clubs around our level receive a lot more than we do for young starlets...

Didn't Knighton pocket most of the Jansen fee 'allegedly'. I seem to remember most of the contracted players at the time were owned by him and not the club.

It’s hard to get more than £1.5 million when you haven’t got anyone worth £1.5 million. Cant see us getting anywhere near that for McCarron but hope we get a good sell on fee just in case.
