Got no problem with scrapping cup replays as it gives smaller clubs a better chance of progressing over a one off game.
Also have no problems with the bigger clubs (those competing in Europe) putting out 'weakened' teams - they all have 2 teams of internationals in any case. And again it gives the smaller teams a better chance to progress.
What I do have a problem with is the fact that the European Cup (sorry Champions League) just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and is almost a European Super League in all but name - and don't get me started on the Europa League/Europa Conference League. These competitions are simply huge cash cows for the elite and the wannabee elite to keep them sweet.
The big clubs are at least partly responsible for the increase in European games and then complain they can't fit the other fixtures in
In many ways it would be better if the 'Elite' just ****ed off and played each other every week - so long as they weren't allowed to compete in any of their domestic cups or appear for their national teams. See how long it would take until everyone was bored ****less and wanted to come back.
Also why not reduce the Premier League to 18 teams, as in other European countries, surely it's not money and keeping certain clubs sweet!
On the plus side the Government and others appear to want to see more of the vast income generated going to lower league clubs, which has got to be a good thing.

Personally, I’d combine the EFL Cup and Trophy into one EFL only Tournament.
Sod the PL and all their U21 teams too!

Too many fickle, short-sighted “supporters” of the club turning up to these games. That last attendance in this competition was an embarrassment, a real low point for the club in my opinion.
Getting a crowd of over 3,000 in the FL trophy is a real low point for the club? Don’t talk rubbish. Is that just because you don’t agree with the format of the competition?
Calling fans who go and watch their team “clowns” is a real low point however. Pathetic.
The one thing I object to is the calling of a side a ‘B team’. I find it insulting and degrading in any competition, and takes away the glory of a victory.

As these Teams were considered to be ‘B Teams’ by all and sundry when they arrived in 2016.

Of course they are clowns, Frank. They are giving their nod to the authorities for what they have done to this competition. They aren’t seeing the bigger picture. The same ‘fans’ will be turning up in a few seasons, when we are playing some premier league B team in a league fixture - which is ultimately the PL’s end game.
Has it ever crossed your mind that some fans have different views to you and don’t really give a monkey’s about the politics behind football, they just want to go and watch their team play? Think you need to learn to be a bit less bigoted rather than calling folk with different thoughts from you “clowns”.
Anyway, your assumption that fans who turn up are ‘giving the nod’ to authorities is seriously flawed. Plenty don’t approve of our current ownership but still go, are they ‘giving the nod’ to the 3 failures in charge? I don’t like what Sky and the PL have done to English football but have still been to PL games since it’s inception, am I somehow in approval? I can’t stand FIFA and it’s rotten core but have been to their WC’s before, am I giving them the nod?
Fair enough you don’t approve of the competition these days (a competition which was on its arse anyway) but no need in abusing others who are happy still to go.
