Farman 7- Made some crucial saves before half time and came got more crosses which was encouraging

Tanner 7- Keeps the ball with ease and a very good all round player

Hayden 7- Solid, made some good tackles and interceptions, proving why he should’ve been first choice captain

McDonald 7- Keeps it simple and becoming reliable, concrete Rod is starting to ring true

Armer 6- Though he’s had better games still very consistent and clever

Guy 7- His usual dominant performance and played some neat passes, top of the assists chart in league two!

Riley 7- Dominant, hungry, serge mind and a pleasure to watch at times. Looks a natural in midfield which is not a position he’s really played in his career

Mellish 8- Two very well taken goals, some neat passing, brilliant runs in behind. Really starting to become a driving force

Patrick 7- Had the full back on toast with pure pace never mind trickery, end product sometimes needs working on

Alessandra 6- Struggled in the first half but grew into the game and showed some neat play at times

Zanzala 6- Not his day today, got nothing from the referee and really should’ve scored at the back post, constant menace mind

Subs 6- Got to feel for Scott you really do, either needs some more minutes or has got to prove himself in bounce games and training.

Beech 7- Patience was the key and thankfully he allowed us to get our goals before making any subs

More or less spot on there 'Aberdeen', maybe would have given an extra point to Zanzala because basically he was an absolute menace to their back four, although I did feel he went down a bit too easily at times. Mellish was superb, and just hope that 'Riley's injury' is not to serious.

Same ratings as Aberdeen's except an 8 for McDonald, who's been excellent in our winning run following all the "never want to see him in a blue shirt again" comments after Stevenage. Looks lean and fit again and supporting some of the attacks on occasion. Even his passing has improved, whether it's going up the line to Armer or picking out Patrick with a diagonal for example.

I think there is a real gathering momentum now, yes the opposition has been poor, but the energy levels have been significantly stepped above that of the previous dismal run. You can sense they are enjoying things again, and the confidence is back. Mellish back in the goals is key for us - he could be so key for us now in these last few games. I am hopeful of a good go at getting in the playoffs. Get 4 points min from the next two games and we can believe it could happen.

Lets be hopeful and optimistic here for once.

Totally agree about McDonald, at last seeing the player we hoped we had signed, some players settle quicker than others, some one hear very quick to condemn.

Would be churlish not to give Mellish man of the match, unless you're Piggy, of course.

I thought Zanzala played well, His shot just past the post when he was on the ground deserved a goal

Everyone 7 out of 10.

Wow - this is some turnaround
only a few days ago - this was Tim's basis for a score of 7

A ten equals a perfect, flawless performance - 100%. Can you honestly, objectively, believe the majority of the players hit 70% of optimum performance today?

So that's ALL of the players achieving 70% of their optimum performance????

McDonald is a steady keep it simple CB, for all the comments regarding his lack of speed he still rarely gets skinned by an opponent, that's due to his ability to read the game. Once he's got the ball he also has the ability to deliver a good pass rather than blast it into row Z all the time. Hayden is our speedster in the middle of our defence, and when he's out of position Guy is always willing to fill in to support him. Without a midfielder dropping in to fill the gap left by Hayden's pushes forward he's left exposed, now that fitness levels are back up hopefully that's a thing of the past.
