Team:
We’re playing some lovely stuff. Oldham are absolute shite if we get one we’ll get 3 or 4.
This is easily the best side we’ve had since we dropped back to tinpot 2, easily. Every player has a part to play, no passengers.
A shame the season might be suspended soon and no one can go and see it.
Still in the playoffs so not much to worry about, need to take out chances. It won’t be long before we knock 5 past a team. Maybe a change in striker?
Two points dropped today against a poor Oldham team. It's not a disaster but being wasteful in front of goal and conceding a poor goal is not good enough.
It should serve as a lesson that fluster, bluster and aimlessly kicking are no substitute for technical ability and composure.
We also have the prime example of what Mellish costs us as a team in the goal we conceded. A positionally aware player would've been dropping back filling-in in front of the back four preventing that pass coming through (especially at 1-0 up away from home) Mellish was on his heels, ball watching. Poor.
Also poor is the manager who substituted every midfielder apart from Mellish, was slow in taking Toure off and left Alessandra on even though he was physically spent.
Onwards and upwards, I expect to see a marked improvement on Saturday.

Of course you target Mellish, no one is interested in your agenda.
Gavin Reilly is a frustrating player. You know he could be good but everything is just nearly with him.

I would say Kayode is more frustrating. He was useless and gave possession away everytime he had the ball.
He offered nothing tonight, should have been subbed on the hour mark.

That comment wasn't directed only at Mellish today.

Not one of Kayode's better games today but was up against a good centre half in Piergianni, he actually got more joy when he was moved out wide.
Toure needs to be careful that he doesn't become a Nathan Thomas. Clearly the most talented / natural footballer in the squad but looked really off it tonight and wasn't great at the weekend. The two 1v1s he missed against Port Vale and Oldham probably tell you why he's with us this season!
Still a fantastic player but has the potential to be very frustrating.
No, DHS.
If you actually bother to read my post, it criticizes Mellish for his lack of awareness and for being on his heels at a critical time not protecting our back four.
The fluster and bluster sentence was aimed at the whole team.
Hope this is now simple enough for you to understand.
