We just need to tweak a few things and we can get a positive result.
If we can cut out the goalkeeping errors, tighten up the defence, gain more control of the midfield and liven up in attack, we will win this.
Cambridge 0 Carlisle 2
Toure, Hayden
Attendance 2,413

Well its been a sievefest so far in the 2 cup games..so be rude not to predict Cambridge will score 3 times.

Cambridge comfortable 3-1 winners

Worst case scenario Hoolahan plays, tears us a new arse and further emphasises our lack of his type of player in midfield. 3-0 to Cambridge but really hope it doesn't happen.

Cambridge to win by 3 or 4

Team solidarity will start to break down with players arguing with each other
A defender will be sent off
We will pick up another injury

Beech in his post match will say there is a great bunch of lads in the dressing room who are hurting and who know what it means to represent the city, the club, the fans etc etc

Or

We win (hopefully)

You would have thought by now that Beech/Holdsworth would have caught up with what is plainly obvious to the rest of us and signed a couple of creative players.

If Patrick and Kayode return we have a chance. Get them up front with Toure and drop Alessandra back into mid field for Mellish.

Who would we put up against Iredale? We know he’s not good defensively. Do we put Patrick just back from injury up against him, or do we switch Toure to the right and put his quick feet and change of direction up against him?

Matt Hancock has just hinted slightly that there might be a change in crowds at sporting events announced by the PM later. Could be all knocked back again. :(

Never has a season opener had so little interest. Hope when fans are allowed back in I might care. Hope we win but without fans football is crap.

I'm looking forward to watching it on ifollow. I'm easy pleased mind.

First game of the season - blank canvas and all that.

Despite my reservations about Beechy I'd love a win to start the season off.

I think we`ll get a positive reaction after the poor performance at Oldham.

Going for 1-1 a point on the board away and then see if we can get all 3 at home to southend.

In his interviews it was the budgets he was on a about on Border TV and with Andy Hall it was injuries.

Talk about getting your excuses in early! :D

You dont win anything with kids.

Famous words from Alan Hansen.

How wrong he was, could be a star amongst the players we have. Big win today

I know they have only been friendlies but the defence has looked so slow and square I cant see us keeping a clean sheet.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but Cambridge 2 Carlisle 0.
